Alex Jimenez was one of the several young talents who left Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, signing for AC Milan on a season-long loan deal.

Having moved to Italy, the 18-year-old right-back has been largely playing for their Primavera outfit, but recently made his senior debut for the Rossoneri.

Indeed, Jimenez received his first minutes with Stefano Pioli’s side around a week ago in a cup game and he made a big impression.

AC Milan wish to renegotiate terms

It has since emerged that Milan have an option to make Jimenez’s signing permanent at the end of the season, for a fee of €5 million.

Now, as per Sky Sport Italia, the Serie A heavyweights are indeed intetested in taking up the purchase option for the Real Madrid starlet come summer.

However, they wish to renegotiate the terms of the €5 million buy option that is already agreed between the two clubs for the teenager.

As per the report, Milan would like to pay Real Madrid less than €5 million as fixed fee in the immediate future.

Instead, the Rossoneri wish to insert a series of bonuses that would allow the Merengues to collect more money than the €5 million agreed upon, should Jimenez develop and establish himself in Milano.

Real Madrid have buyback clause

While Milan’s interest in keeping Jimenez long-term is understandable, it must be noted that Real Madrid have an option to re-sign him right away even if the Rossoneri activate the purchase clause.

The Merengues have full confidence in the teenage right-back and it will be interesting to see how the situation evolves in the months to come.

Real Madrid are confident that Kylian Mbappe will not participate in the Paris Olympic Games, and as a result, they expect him to join their preseason squad in August, according to a striking report from SPORT.

The club has made it clear that they will not make any exceptions for Mbappe, nor will they treat him as a “special case” who can participate in both the Euro Cup and the Olympic Games, which are generally meant for younger athletes.

It is important to highlight that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is currently in Paris for a FIFA event. This event will give him the opportunity to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and discuss the potential transfer of Mbappe.

One of Perez’s main interests is to bring the French star to Real Madrid as soon as possible. Ideally, this would be after the European Championship in Germany, which runs from June 14 to July 14, followed by a short vacation.

This is why Mbappe would be expected to join the team only in August.

No Mbappe is Paris Olympics

Interestingly, this plan would be disrupted if Mbappe were to compete in the Paris Olympic Games.

While participating in the Olympics would be highly appealing to the French capital and could even boost Mbappe’s popularity among his fellow countrymen, Real Madrid sources believe that he will skip the Olympics.

For now, Real Madrid’s confidence that Mbappe will not participate in the Olympics means they are planning for him to join the team for the preseason in August.

Meanwhile, as the situation is still developing, Perez’s trip to Paris for FIFA’s 120th Anniversary appears to be yielding results, paving the way for Mbappe’s anticipated move to Real Madrid.

While everything related to the transfer is on track, the official announcement is pending followed by the presentation.
