Ancelotti wants to continue at Real Madrid until 2024 and beyond – report

Despite the Brazilian FA publicly issuing a statement that there has not been any agreement with Carlo Ancelotti, the South American country has continued to be linked with a move for the Real Madrid boss.
Currently, in his second stint at Real Madrid, Ancelotti has already won a total of nine titles during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, just two short of Zinedine Zidane’s 11 and five short of Miguel Munoz, who leads the list of most titles won with Real Madrid as a coach.
According to MARCA, Ancelotti, though he is not necessarily batting for milestones, believes he is at the right club and has no desire to leave the club before fulfilling his contract at Santiago Bernabeu. He may even look to extend his stay beyond 2024.
This leaves Brazil in a precarious situation, despite reports that the nation’s football federation is in advanced talks with Ancelotti.
Although the Brazilian FA has certainly held a meeting, discussing the possibility of appointing Ancelotti in the near future, they must play the waiting game, one way or another.
That is because the Italian has no desire to leave Real Madrid prematurely. That means Brazil will have to wait until the club kick the head coach out of the Bernabeu, primarily due to a lack of performance and consistency.
Real Madrid have performed suboptimally in La Liga this term and are trailing arch-rivals Barcelona at the top of the table. If the Whites continue to falter in the cup competitions as well, it will not come as a surprise to see them sack Ancelotti at the end of the season.
Another situation that favours the Selecao is that they do not have important matches coming up anytime soon. This will give the nation’s footballing body ample time to monitor the situation and come out with the best possible solution.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool monitoring 19-year-old Bundesliga wonderkid – Romano

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool are all monitoring Bayer Leverkusen and Germany wonderkid Florian Wirtz.
After recovering from his ACL injury, the teenage sensation has been slowly working his way back to his best form. So far this term, Wirtz has managed to rack up a tally of two goals and six assists from 13 matches in all competitions.
The 19-year-old’s talent and potential have never been in question and hence it does not come as a surprise that elite clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool are all keeping tabs on the German international.
A versatile attacking midfielder, Wirtz is capable of playing anywhere in the final third of the pitch and backs up with top-notch end product. Be it as a false-nine or in a more withdrawn role, the youngster has excelled for Bayer Leverkusen, catching the attention of top teams.
Real Madrid, for their part, are also understood to be among Wirtz’s admirers. Given the situation surrounding Karim Benzema’s fitness and the lack of backup at the top, the youngster could be an option, as he has shown potential while operating through the middle.
But Barcelona also have a strong interest in the teenager with reports even suggesting that they have already made contact with his father to enquire about his situation.
At the same time, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a huge admirer of his fellow German and with Roberto Firmino on his way out, Wirtz could be lined up as a possible replacement.
However, Romano adds that the expectation is that Wirtz could stay at Bayer Leverkusen for one more year and depart Germany once the UEFA Euro 2024 is out of the way.
For now, there have been talks or negotiations with any clubs, but Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool are all tracking Wirtz and his progress in Germany.
