Barcelona working ‘behind the scenes’ to lure away long-term Real Madrid target

Real Madrid’s strategy of chasing young Brazilian talents has fared well in recent years. Rodrygo Goes, Vinicius Jr, and Eder Militao have all quickly become key members in Carlo Ancelotti’s side purely through merit.
It is not surprising that Los Blancos are looking to continue with the formula that has worked wonders so far. Of the many gems in the streets of Brazil, the club were last said to be pursuing the signing of young Endrick.
According to reports from Joaquim Piera, Barcelona are working hard behind the scenes to swoop in for the youngster’s services. This comes as vital information for Real Madrid’s transfer plans.
It is interesting to note that the teenager is yet to make his senior debut for a club. However, his performances at the youth level have been so impressive that European giants already have the 15-year-old on their transfer lists.
The Palmeiras player renewed his deal with the Brazilian club last month. His new contract runs until 2025, when he will turn 19. It is important to note that Brazilians cannot play in Europe until they are 18 years of age, according to FIFA regulations.
It is difficult to imagine Los Blancos letting go of such a highly-rated player. However, a lot will depend on the economics of the deal. It is said that the teenager’s current deal has a €60 million release clause that is activated when he turns 18.
After seeing the success of his compatriots like Vinicius and Rodrygo, it would not be surprising if Endrick opts to join Real Madrid over Barcelona.
Nevertheless, there is a long time before the youngster is compelled to choose his next club and one can expect conflicting reports until the deal is signed.

Real Madrid maintain full confidence in Turkish starlet despite injury woes

Arda Guler’s Real Madrid stint has not gotten off to the start he would have hoped to have given the expectation that preceded the transfer.
Having joined in the summer after Real Madrid outbid their competition to win him over from Fenerbahce for a 20-million-euro fee, buzz was high as the winger was expected to slot into the team quite seamlessly, albeit on a rotational basis.
Unfortunately for the 18-year-old, he has been constantly marred by injuries since completing the move.
Reports have stated that after Guler picked up his third injury since his move, Real Madrid have been concerned and want to take things slow with the player to ensure he is fit as soon as possible after an injury to his quadriceps this time.
The Turk is yet to make his competitive debut for the club, and Real Madrid even sacked their medical chief in November, in light of their injury crises since the beginning of the season.

No loan deal for Guler
However, according to Fabrizio Romano in a recent YouTube video, he states that Madrid maintain full trust and patience in the youngster.
Despite his bad luck with injuries, the latest of which he is scheduled to return from after Christmas, the Galacticos have no intention of loaning out Guler to Turkish clubs despite lots of speculation of them doing so of late.
Romano states that Madrid remain firm on not shaking things up too much with the squad, and they want to keep their roster stable, including Arda Guler.
They want to extend their full support and protection to the player as he aims to return to full fitness and finally make his bow for Madrid either by the end of this month or in 2024.
