Bayern Munich table €70 million offer for Real Madrid striker target

Even though things have gone quiet on the Real Madrid – Harry Kane front of late, the Tottenham Hotspur superstar continues to remain an option on the radars of the Spanish capital giants as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema.
Kane was linked quite heavily with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, especially right after Benzema’s departure became official. However, the focus has shifted to the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga in recent weeks, with the England captain’s pursuit put on standby.
Taking advantage of the situation, Bayern Munich have made a move for Kane by lodging an offer of €70 million for the superstar striker, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Bavarian giants lost their own goal-machine, Robert Lewandowski last year and failed to replace him adequately. As such, they are keen on addressing that mistake this time out and have identified Kane as their main target.
The England captain is entering the final year of his contract at Tottenham and is understood to be keen on leaving in order to win trophies.
However, there is no chance whatsoever that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would be willing to accept an offer of just €70 million for his main man.
If previous reports are to go by, the Tottenham head honcho is seeking a figure in excess of €100 million for Kane – another reason why Real Madrid’s pursuit of him slowed down as the Merengues have doubts about spending so much on a player who turns 30 soon.
Kane’s situation continues to remain up in the air as things stand. As far as Real Madrid’s interest in him, much could depend on how the situation with Mbappe develops and whether Levy is willing to lower his demands for one of Europe’s most consistent and dangerous strikers.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
