Real Madrid’s new signing Jude Bellingham officially opened his chapter with the club on Monday with his medical examination and first training session. He was declared fit and completed the first session with no problems, displaying a high level.

However, the Englishman did not join the group for training on Tuesday. He spent the day doing specific work on the sidelines, in order to avoid risking exacerbating his previous injury.

According to reports from MARCA, Bellingham was back in full training in today’s session. He was back to showing his skills on the ball and completed the hectic workout that included pressure and circulation exercises, offensive transitions, attack-defence transitions, and regular runs.

His exclusion yesterday was out of caution as opposed to consequence. Los Blancos do not want to risk a relapse with Bellingham’s knee injury that kept him out towards the end of last season, and thus choose to give him a gradual incorporation.

If everything goes to plan, he will be available to debut against AC Milan at the beginning of the USA preseason tour. However, it could be delayed until the Clasico if Real Madrid continues to err on the side of caution.

Los Blancos signed the wonder-kid from Borussia Dortmund last month in a deal worth €103 million plus add-ons. The manager eyes Bellingham to be a fundamental cog in his plans for next season and the reluctance to push him too far, too fast is understandable.

Nevertheless, the English star has already been making waves with his quality in training. He has made an impression on his teammates and Ancelotti with his abilities and is raring to go in the coming opportunities. After all, a move to Real Madrid has always been his biggest dream.

Real Madrid will be looking to return to winning ways as they get set to take on UD Las Palmas in a couple of hours at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Following the derby debacle against Atletico de Madrid last weekend, it is imperative for Los Merengues to bounce back strongly tonight.

With kick-off not very long away, Carlo Ancelotti has announced the starting lineup that will be stepping onto the pitch to face Las Palmas.

Ancelotti has changed things a fair bit from the derby defeat, with both Luka Modric and Toni Kroos dropping to the bench.

But the biggest surprise is that Jude Bellingham has also been rested by the Real Madrid boss.

Instead, Real Madrid go in with the quartet of Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and Brahim Diaz in their diamond midfield setup. The latter makes his first start for Real Madrid this season.

Up top, Joselu returns to the starting lineup, pairing up alongside Rodrygo Goes while Vinicius Jr remains on the bench, having only recently returned from an injury.

At the back, club captain Nacho Fernandez starts his first game of the season at the expense of Lucas Vazquez at right-back. Ferland Mendy also gets a look-in at left-back while David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger make up the rearguard that will shield Kepa Arrizabalaga.
