Brazil official to travel to Spain in April to negotiate with Real Madrid boss Ancelotti

The Brazilian national team setup is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to lure Carlo Ancelotti. The Real Madrid tactician is their number-one choice by far and the administration is prepared to wait until the end of the season if that’s what it takes to appoint him.
According to reports from MARCA, Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) president Ednaldo Rodrigues will travel to Spain on April 6th to negotiate terms with Ancelotti over the federation’s offer.
The Italian is said to be intrigued by the challenge of taking over the Selecao but has not allowed it to interfere with his situation at Real Madrid at the moment.
Ancelotti’s priority has always been to see out his contract with the European champions. If left to him, the coach would opt to stay in Madrid until 2024 before mutually parting ways to take up the new challenge.
However, his team’s inconsistent displays have brought him on the edge and he could lose his job as early as June if he fails to win a trophy in the coming months. Brazil are alert to this possibility and hope to swoop him away this summer.
Earlier this week, the president of the Brazilian federation publicly declared that Ancelotti was the main candidate considered for the job and spoke of the high regard for the Italian in the dressing room.
“Ancelotti is not only the favourite of players, but also the fans. Wherever I go to any stadium in Brazil, he’s the first name they ask for,” Rodrigues said.
Earlier this week, a new possibility in Ancelotti’s future was revealed when reports stated that he could even renew with Real Madrid if his side wins the UEFA Champions League.
Needless to say, everything will boil down to the Merengues’ performance in the coming weeks, especially in the UCL and Copa del Rey, with the La Liga title already appearing to be lost.

Real Madrid reach agreement with Borussia Dortmund for Bellingham, medical to follow

In a huge development, David Ornstein of The Athletic is reporting that Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement over the transfer of midfield sensation Jude Bellingham.
The 19-year-old prodigy had become one of Los Blancos’ main priorities for the summer transfer window and the club had been working on a deal for him for months now.
And after seeing off competition from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, the Merengues managed to reach an agreement with Bellingham over personal terms last month.
Talks with Dortmund were put on hold until the Bundesliga season was over, but things have accelerated in recent times. Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that positive talks had been held between the two clubs.
And now, Real Madrid have reached a total agreement with Dortmund for Bellingham’s signing. As per the report, the transfer fee for the teenage sensation will exceed €100 million, making it one of the most expensive operations in the history of both clubs.
The deal has not been signed yet, but it is considered only a mere formality at this point. Soon, the England international will undergo his medicals in the coming days as well before completing the transfer to Real Madrid.
Bellingham might not be the only Englishman to end up at the Spanish capital this summer as Los Blancos also have their sights set on a move for his national team captain, Harry Kane.
Indeed, the 29-year-old Tottenham Hotspur superstar is a primary target for Real Madrid as a replacement for Karim Benzema, who completed his transfer to Al Ittihad. The Merengues are understood to be preparing an €80 million offer for him, but it could fall short of Spurs’ valuation.
