Carlo Ancelotti’s future likely to be decided in June, Brazil NT waiting

A recent report from MARCA has offered a comprehensive update on Carlo Ancelotti’s current situation at Real Madrid, especially amid speculation linking him to a move to the Brazilian national team.
Reports earlier in the year had even gone on to claim that Ancelotti had agreed terms with the Brazilian FA and would leave Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
But it appears the Real Madrid coach is currently focused on continuing at Real Madrid. He is happy with his current job and wants to stay at Santiago Bernabeu for as long as he can. He has no other thoughts in his head.
That is, however, not to say that the Italian has not considered other offers, especially the one from the Brazilian national team.
Ancelotti’s current contract at Bernabeu expires at the end of the 2023/24 season. But both parties are expected to draw out potential agreements that could see the coach depart early, if necessary.
Brazil are waiting on the wings and are determined to sign Ancelotti as their desired replacement for Tite, who had left the job following the Selecao‘s debacle at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The South American giants were knocked out by Croatia in the quarterfinal stage.
Brazil’s early elimination from the World Cup marked yet another disappointing campaign for the Selecao. The traditional footballing giants have not won the coveted trophy since 2002.
But the Brazilian FA believe Ancelotti’s experience, coupled with his winning mentality could be an ideal combination in Brazil’s bid to reinstate themselves as a footballing giant and to possibly lay claim to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
For the moment, though, Ancelotti has remained focused on his current job at Real Madrid. He has continued to guide his team to victories, as evident in the team’s 5-2 win over Liverpool in the Champions League recently.

Real Madrid trio in danger of missing Villarreal game due to suspension

As Real Madrid look to restart the campaign following the end of the international break, all focus will be on the upcoming El Clasico in Copa del Rey on April 5.
However, before they take on their arch-rivals for a fourth time this year, Real Madrid must see off the challenge from Real Valladolid in La Liga on Sunday.
Given Barcelona’s 12-point advantage at the top of the table, La Liga appears to be a lost cause for Real Madrid right now. But that is no excuse for Carlo Ancelotti’s men to appear complacent, as they look to push for a late title charge.
However, heading into this contest, three Real Madrid players proceed with caution as they are running the risk of missing out on the next league game against Villarreal due to yellow cards.
The three players in question are Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, and Dani Ceballos. All three of these players have picked up four yellow cards in La Liga this term. Therefore, picking up another booking against Valladolid will rule them out in the next game.
Camavinga, in particular, has been a vital part of the Real Madrid squad since the turn of the year, impressing onlookers with his performances and versatility.
Carvajal, too, is a critical option at right-back and his experience could go a long way in helping Real Madrid end the league campaign on a positive note. Not to mention, the club lack the services of a reliable alternative, which has led to links with Reece James this coming summer.
Ceballos, on the other hand, has been one of the emerging stars this year. The midfielder’s performances have been excellent lately, and he would not want to lose any momentum by picking up a suspension ahead of the important Villarreal game next week.
