€150 million Real Madrid target’s decision on future imminent – report

Jude Bellingham is one of the jewels of the transfer market right now, having established himself as a first-team regular at Borussia Dortmund and even the England national team.
Aged only 19, the Englishman has shown maturity well beyond his years. It is coupled with his leadership qualities and aggression, making him an ideal target for a club like Real Madrid, who have been courting him as a long-term midfield asset.
However, Bellingham’s future is not yet known as Borussia Dortmund are keen on keeping hold of the midfielder at least for another season. The two parties were expected to hold talks over the player’s future this April.
According to the reliable Ruhrnachrichten, it appears Bellingham’s decision is just around the corner, after months of speculations over his future.
Although the report states that Dortmund are keen on securing the midfielder’s future with a new contract and had offered him a bumper €12 million salary, the Englishman has appeared open to options.
For a while, Bellingham was closely linked with a move to Liverpool. But Real Madrid, too, are keeping close tabs on his situation and would want to beat others to the chase, including the Reds and their Premier League rivals Manchester City.
However, it must be noted that Real Madrid are unwilling to meet Bellingham’s €150 million valuation set by Dortmund.
There have been suggestions that they might go after him in 2024. This is due to various factors including the fact that the club are likely to retain the services of the ageing midfield heroes Toni Kroos and Luka Modric for one more season.
Although their continuity will not affect the role of Bellingham, the club are aware of the fact that the Englishman would be available for cheap in 2024, with his current contract at Dortmund expiring in 2025.
But, with Liverpool and Manchester City lying in wait to sign him up, Real Madrid could end up missing out on Bellingham if they decide to wait for next year.

Official: Marco Asensio leaves Real Madrid on a free transfer

Real Madrid have officially announced that winger Marco Asensio will be leaving the club as a free agent at the end of the season. The Spaniard was between a contract extension and departure for a very long time, and eventually decided it was best for him to leave.
Asensio joined Madrid eight years ago, as a 20-year-old, and was loaned out to Espanyol during his first season in the top flight, where he scored four goals and gave ten assists across 34 appearances.
He has since been a key member of Real Madrid’s team, often dropping in and out of starting lineups, though. During his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, Asensio has won three UEFA Champions Leagues, four FIFA Club World Cups, three La Ligas, and three European Super Cups.
“Real Madrid fans will never forget their path and their exemplary behaviors during all this time. Madrid is, and will always be, his home,” the farewell announcement said.
Now, rumours suggest that Asensio will heading to Paris to join PSG on a Bosman move.
