However, Serrano believes the Real Madrid president has several options available should the situation change.
“Everyone takes it for granted that the president can push through the signing of Enzo Fernández because it’s a deal that depends solely on money.”
The Argentine midfielder has regularly been mentioned as a potential target for Real Madrid due to the club’s desire to add more control and creativity to the centre of the pitch.
Serrano also suggested that Enzo is among the elite players Perez has in mind when discussing footballers eager to play for Real Madrid.

The answer might have been delivered jokingly, but the Rayo coach immediately made clear just how highly he rates the Portuguese manager.
“He’s one of the best managers in history,” he added.
