Vicente del Bosque is a well-known figure in Spanish and world football. His accomplishments as a manager with Real Madrid and the Spain national team have earned him a legendary status.

Speaking to MARCA (h/t AS), he touched upon Real Madrid’s recent activities and related topics.

Having recently lifted a historic 15th UEFA Champions League title, Vicente del Bosque heralded Real Madrid as the best team in Europe and claimed the secret behind their continuous success lies in their unity behind closed doors.

“Real Madrid has great experience in the European Champions League and winning the title is something wonderful. It is the best team in Europe.

“The success of the team lies in the locker rooms and in the personal strength of the players,” he praised.

Despite Karim Benzema departing Real Madrid last summer, Los Blancos have managed to overshadow his absence seamlessly by relying on different sources of goals.

The former coach acknowledged the club’s overwhelming quality in all areas of the pitch allows them to offset trying times.

“Real Madrid has outstanding players who have compensated for the injuries and the departure of Karim Benzema,” he asserted.

Very soon, images of Kylian Mbappe in a Real Madrid jersey will be doing the rounds as the club announced his signing earlier today.

“The incorporation of Mbappe will be positive in all aspects for Real Madrid,” Del Bosque added.

Furthermore, the 73-year-old legend of the sport has commended Florentino Perez’s work as the president of Real Madrid.

“The role of Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, is fundamental to the success of the club,” he lauded.

Finally, Del Bosque also gave his roses to coach Carlo Ancelotti, who continues to win titles every season and most recently won his fifth Champions League trophy.

“Ancelotti is an example to follow in player management. He is successful thanks to his intelligence in achieving titles,” Del Bosque remarked.

Real Madrid are set to welcome two new stars this summer, Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, but the Merengues are keen on further bolstering their squad.

Owing to the embarrassment of riches Real Madrid possess in midfield, replacing Toni Kroos with a new signing in midfield is not seen as an immediate priority.

Nonetheless, interesting opportunities will invariably be evaluated closely and it appears the name of Adrien Rabiot has entered the club’s crosshairs.

Real Madrid not the only ones interested

But, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid face stiff competition from Premier League clubs and Saudi Arabian teams in their pursuit of midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The French midfielder is set to become a free agent if he chooses not to renew his contract with Juventus, a decision that seems increasingly likely.

Known for his technical prowess and versatility, Rabiot excels at playing multiple roles in midfield and notably thriving as a goal threat with late runs inside the opposition box that tend to catch opponents off guard.

While Real Madrid have no shortage of quality in midfield, Dani Ceballos’ exit could pave the way for the 29-year-old to secure a signing for Los Blancos.

However, Real Madrid would have to outmanoeuvre both the financial prowess of Saudi Arabian teams and the competitive allure of Premier League clubs to secure Rabiot’s signature.

On top of that, Juventus are also not giving up on their efforts to try and renew the contract of the French international.

In any case, Rabiot is unlikely to be a priority target for the club but they will be sure to keep a close eye on how his situation develops.
