Highly-rated Brazilian forward wants to join Real Madrid, bid worth €35-40 million expected

16-year-old Palmeiras forward Endrick has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid, reports journalist Tomas Gonzalez-Martin while writing for El Debate, adding that even the European champions are ready to make a bid worth €35-40 million for the youngster.
For now, even if the Madrid entity wants to sign the talented forward, the team needs to wait for two more years as he can only join when he turns 18. This means at this very moment, the management is laying all the groundwork for his arrival.
Endrik has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu since bursting onto the scenes earlier this year. The 16-year-old also witnessed Real’s iconic 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last season.
That was the moment when he realised he wants to be part of this historic team. Interestingly enough, personnel from the Madrid management were present to watch the young striker’s delight and they duly felt what was there in the offering.
Endrick’s father, who was present at the venue, wants his son to play for Real Madrid in the future.
For that, he has been conversing with the likes of Juni Calafat, the head of international football for Real Madrid, and Wagner Ribeiro, a prestigious manager in Brazil, who happens to be a good friend of Florentino Perez.
The dialogue is open and those presenting the Madrid team have convinced Endrick and his camp to join Real Madrid in two years.
The convincing part is more or less done, the only thing that remains for Real Madrid to do is to enter into an official negotiation mostly because they are aware of the interest the forward has generated.
As things stand, Endrick’s release clause is proving to be the only hurdle. His current deal with the Brazilian team runs until 2025 and any team wanting to acquire him will need to trigger his €60 million termination clause.
Madrid do not want the fee to exceed €35-40 million, although they are willing to pay future bonuses. This means getting into the negotiation with Palmeiras is only the first step.
So now, the team from Brazil has the ball in their court as it will be their management who will decide the future of the youngster; whether to hold out for his full release clause amount or let him realise his dream by joining Real Madrid for less money.
As of today, Madrid hold the advantage ahead of their rivals mostly because the player does not want to join any other team, but convincing Palmeiras is something that is going to take some time.

Real Madrid forward sends clear message over future amidst Barcelona links

Marco Asensio is fighting for his future at Real Madrid. The 27-year-old winger is out of contract at the end of the season and there is no concrete decision made by the club over his renewal as of yet.
Some reports had suggested that the club had tabled an offer worth €4 million per year, which the Spaniard did not like as he sought a higher pay packet closer to around €6 million-a-year.
With his future a subject of intense speculation, Asensio had been linked with a move away to Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool.
Meanwhile, closer to home, there were strong links to Real Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona. Indeed, the Catalans have been touted as potential suitors for Asensio for quite some time now due to the fact that he is represented by Jorge Mendes.
The superagent has close ties with Barcelona president Joan Laporta and reports in Spain have suggested that the Real Madrid winger has, indeed, been offered to the current La Liga leaders.
Amidst these speculations, however, Asensio has seemingly made it clear as to where his heart lies as he awaits a decision on his future.
During last night’s El Clasico against Barcelona, the Real Madrid winger came on as a substitute and went on to score a goal, following which he celebrated at Camp Nou, pointing to the Real Madrid logo on his shirt, showing where his allegiances lie.

The goal, however, was disallowed by the VAR, and Los Blancos ended up losing the game 2-1 thanks to a stoppage-time winner by Franck Kessie.
Earlier today, Asensio took to Instagram and posted a picture of him celebrating with his finger pointing to the Real Madrid logo, reiterating his commitment to the club amidst the links to Barcelona.
As for his disallowed goal, it sparked an angry reaction from Carlo Ancelotti, who questioned the legitimacy of the decision made by the VAR during his post-match press conference.
