Having arrived from Borussia Dortmund for a large fee of €103 million, Jude Bellingham instantly quashed the notion of big-money signings requiring a period of adaptation before they can truly spread their wings.

The Englishman has been on a roll since the start of the campaign, scoring goals on the regular and sealing victories weekly.

And owing to his mastery on the pitch this season, it is unsurprising to see fans often find shades of the legendary Zinedine Zidane in Bellingham, who has been following his footsteps thus far.

Now, paying homage to the man himself, Bellingham has come out to acknowledge that Zidane is, in fact, the scorer of his favorite goal.

When asked which was his favorite goal, he replied, via Telefoot, “My favourite goal is Zidane’s volley vs Leverkusen, in the Champions League final!”

Throughout his illustrious career, Zidane has delivered numerous magical moments on the field.

For many, though, his exquisite volley against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Uefa Champions League final in Glasgow will always take the cake, and Bellingham appears to be sharing the same sentiment.

Commenting on being the Golden Boy winner, Bellingham remarked that he was determined to finally get his hands on the award after being successively placed second in the ranking.

“The last few years I was frustrated: I finished second twice in the Golden Boy! It wasn’t enough, I tried to push the limits: I had to finish first,” he expressed.

Having won 485 out of 500 points, he emerged as the clear favourite with 97% of the votes going in his favour.

The midfielder already boasts some astonishing numbers nearly halfway through the season. Touching upon his goal tally, Bellingham claimed he is a force to reckon with when he has freedom.

“Last year I scored 14 goals. I’ve already broken that record this season: it’s not natural for me to score that much, and I take a lot of responsibility. When I’m free, I’m dangerous.” he said.

A while ago, Brazil manager Dorival Junior announced the squad list for the Selecao’s upcoming friendly encounters against England and Spain. And three Real Madrid players made the cut.

As one would expect, both Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes were included on the squad list by the new manager of the Brazil national team.

Along with the pair, teenage wonderkid Endrick, who will be arriving at Real Madrid in the summer, was also named in the squad.

The 17-year-old striker was signed by Los Blancos in December 2022, but he had to stay back at his boyhood club Palmeiras as he cannot move to Europe until he turns 18, which will happen this summer.

But even before he ends up at Real Madrid, Endrick is set to make his debut at the Santiago Bernabeu as Brazil play Spain at the Merengues’ home ground on March 26.

It will be a huge occasion for the teenage sensation and if he gets any minutes on the night from the manager, Endrick would very likely receive a special welcome at his future home.

Before that, though, the teenage sensation would come face-to-face with his future Real Madrid teammate, Jude Bellingham, with Brazil facing England at the Wembley Stadium on March 23.
