Jude Bellingham wants to play for Real Madrid – report

As reported by Jose Alvarez (h/t MARCA), Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham wants to play for Real Madrid. The teenage English prodigy is a man in demand in the transfer market, but has seemingly has his heart set on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bellingham has grown into one of the finest young footballers in Europe since his move to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2020. The midfielder snubbed advances from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea to move to Germany and has thrived there.
However, a move away from Signal Iduna Park could be on the horizon for the 19-year-old next summer as big clubs circle. The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all keeping tabs on Bellingham’s situation as are Real Madrid.
Bellingham’s contract with Los Merengues runs until the summer of 2025. And Dortmund value him at a mammoth €150 million. Despite the valuation, Real Madrid are prepared to go to battle for his signing as the Englishman is seen as the ideal replacement for Luka Modric.
And if the aforementioned report is true, the reigning champions of Spain and Europe might have the upper hand in the transfer race for Bellingham.
The Merengues are preparing a core for the future, having added Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga to their midfield, to partner Federico Valverde. And Bellingham is seen as the next piece of the puzzle at the club.
The former Birmingham City ace has been respectful of Dortmund and is unlikely to force an exit from the club even though he wishes to play for Real Madrid.
So, the Spanish capital club will need to strike an agreement with the Bundesliga club over a transfer fee as soon as possible, given the rising interest in him.

The first Madrid derby of the season will not feature Vinicius Jr, who had to pull out of the travelling squad today due to a stomach bug.
