Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham will be out of their upcoming two La Liga matches against Celta Vigo and Osasuna as the club’s appeal to overturn his two-match has been rejected.

This has been confirmed by Isaac Fuoto of COPE, who claims that the RFEF Appeals Committee has shot down the Merengues’ appeal to have Bellingham’s suspension cancelled.

What happened?

Bellingham was shown a red card after the full-time whistle at Mestalla when Real Madrid played out a 2-2 draw against Valencia.

The 20-year-old England international had a last-minute goal ruled out following which he aggressively expressed his dissent towards the referee, Gil Manzano, prompting the latter to issue a red card.

Real Madrid immediately appealed the decision but it was not considered as the Competitions Committee handed Bellingham a two-match ban earlier this week.

Following the verdict, Los Blancos went to the Appeals Committee to try and get the decision overturned, but have tasted failure once again.

The Appeals Committee has upheld Bellingham’s suspension, meaning the midfield superstar will now miss the upcoming La Liga clash against Celta Vigo on Sunday as well as the match versus Osasuna next week.

It comes as a blow for Real Madrid for Bellingham has consistently been one of the team’s best players this season. The 2023 summer arrival is the leading goalscorer for Carlo Ancelotti’s men this season and has chipped in with vital assists as well.

With the team not going through their best moment, it would have been ideal to have Bellingham available, but the Merengues must now make do without him for the next two matches.

Real Madrid will sign off on their successful La Liga campaign today with a fixture against Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The game, being seen as a final preparation for the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, sees manager Carlo Ancelotti field his strongest possible lineup.

All eyes will obviously be on the retiring Toni Kroos, who bids goodbye to the Bernabeu in what will be his final home game as a Real Madrid player.

The German international starts in the centre of the park alongside Federico Valverde, while Eduardo Camavinga slots in as the No. 6.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid captain, Nacho Fernandez, also starts in what could be his last game at the Bernabeu as well.

Nacho pairs up with Antonio Rudiger in defence, flanked by the full-back pairing of Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy. Thibaut Courtois starts in goal ahead of Andriy Lunin and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Up front, Vinicius Jr. starts in attack, partnering up with Rodrygo Goes. Top scorer Jude Bellingham occupies the attacking midfield role for Real Madrid.
