Just in: Kylian Mbappe has decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain this season

In what could be a big blow to Real Madrid, French news publication FranceBlue has learned that Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will stay at the club this season.
However, as far as his contract is concerned, the world cup-winning forward wants to “take some time” before confirming his renewal.
Mbappe has been deriding PSG since early June when he expressed that he does not wish to extend his contract.
Furthermore, the forward went on to add that since his ongoing deal runs until 2024, he wishes to see out the deal in a respectful manner as he intended to leave for free.
PSG did all they could to convince the player but eventually made peace with the fact that the forward might have a pre-agreement in place with Real Madrid to join them for free in the summer of 2024.
Parties studying an extension
The aforementioned publication claims that after ‘positive and constructive discussions’, the two parties have decided to study different terms of a new contract so that they can get a decent amount from his sale in 2024 and he does not leave for free.
At best, a one-year extension is expected to be the best possible outcome as the player has made himself very clear that he does not wish to play for PSG beyond 2024.

The Ligue 1 team, on the other hand, does not want to lose him free and the two must establish a middle ground.
Where does this leave Real Madrid?
In all fairness, Madrid have always been the bystander as this entire charade drags on seemingly endlessly.
The team from the Spanish capital has watched the incident unfold from afar and although there were claims that they might lodge an official offer this summer, they never really considered getting into the thick of things.
They are well aware that Mbappe wants Real Madrid and even if he agrees new terms with PSG, the deal would not be long-term.
This extension that PSG and Mbappe are working on has indeed calmed the storm, but the Frenchman’s move to Madrid is inevitable.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.

It is better Real Madrid forgets about Mbappe once and for all, they have not signed the striker of any value and what they’re intending to hide behind is to blame Ancelotti for not winning the games.
I wish this old man may retire as it is hinted and for Madrid to get a person with sound conclusions.
