Kylian Mbappe will not join Real Madrid this summer, no offer made – report

With only a few days left before the summer transfer window slams shut, it appears that Real Madrid will not be signing Kylian Mbappe after all.
The PSG superstar’s transfer saga has dominated all through the summer ever since he announced that he would not renew his contract beyond 2024.
A move to Real Madrid appeared very likely given PSG did not want to lose him for free next year. But the player remained firm on his desire of wanting to stay at the club and seeing out his contract while Los Blancos did not make an offer.
As such, Mbappe, after being exiled from first-team training at PSG, was brought back into the fold and even featured in the game against Toulouse.
But over the past week, there was once again chatter about Real Madrid making a late swoop for Mbappe and that a last-minute bid could be on the cards.
Doors closed on Mbappe this summer
Now, AS is reporting that there has been no late approach from Real Madrid for Mbappe and there will be nothing coming in the final week of the transfer window.
As such, the doors are closed for the 24-year-old Frenchman to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Given the situation, Mbappe will continue at PSG for the current season, and even though there have been talks of a new contract for him in Paris, there is no such possibility on the table.
Indeed, Mbappe is understood to have rejected the Parisian giants’ latest contract offer and will remain at the club for another year without renewing his deal.
Vinicius’ injury does not change anything
Real Madrid are short on numbers in the attacking unit as it is and matters were not helped when VInicius Jr walked off with an injury during the game against Celta Vigo last night.
However, that has not changed Los Blancos’ stance, with the club not making a move for Mbappe despite PSG expecting them to make an offer by now.
And with reports suggesting that Vinicius’ injury is not serious, it appears that Carlo Ancelotti’s side will continue without reinforcing their attack.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
