Overnight, shock reports emerged claiming that Kylian Mbappe had agreed to join Real Madrid in the summer when his contract with PSG expired.

Ever since he entered the final six months of his deal with Les Parisiens, there have been constant speculations about the 25-year-old and a potential move to Real Madrid.

It has been widely reported that Los Blancos want the French superstar to sign a pre-contract agreement before mid-January, in order to avoid a repeat of what happened in 2022.

And, last night, it emerged that an agreement had already been struck between Real Madrid and Mbappe to pair up in the summer.

No agreement, claims Mbappe’s entourage

However, according to the latest update from Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, Mbappe’s entourage has denied reaching any agreement over his future at this point.

As per the journalist, the message coming from the 25-year-old superstar’s camp, amid the Real Madrid speculations, is as follows:

“There is no agreement about Kylian’s future, especially as there are no discussions underway about it, according to those close to Kylian Mbappé. No type of influence could dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussions, reflections or decisions.”

This comes on the back of reports that PSG are unaware of any developments regarding an agreement between Mbappe and any other club, although the Parisians remain on high-alert around the situation.

Mbappe has been long linked with a move to Real Madrid and has come very close to signing for the club in the last two years only for the move to fall through.

But there is a strong indication that the union might materialise at last in the summer of 2024, although, as things stand, there does not appear to be an agreement as reported previously.

As Real Madrid gear up to face Borussia Dortmund in the finals of the UEFA Champions League this weekend, a number of their players interacted with the press today as part of the UEFA Open Media Day.

Jude Bellingham was one of the stars who answered questions from the media ahead of what will be an emotional game for him against his former club, in his homeland.

The England international has enjoyed a spectacular debut season at Real Madrid and is seen as a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or this season.

However, when asked about the Golden Orb, Bellingham tipped his Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr. as his pick to win the prestigious honour this year.

“For me, Vinicius is the best in the world. He creates magic out of nothing. He has everything to be the best,” said Bellingham, as quoted by The Athletic’s Guillermo Rai.

After all, Vinicius has also enjoyed a scintillating campaign and is one of the frontrunners to walk away with the Ballon d’Or, owing to his clutch performances for Real Madrid.

The Brazilian also spoke to the media today and was asked about the Ballon d’Or. Interestingly, he went on to name Bellingham as his pick to win the Golden Ball.

“I would give the Ballon d’Or to Bellingham,” he said, as quoted by Carrusel.

When Bellingham was informed about Vinicius picking him as the favourite for the Ballon d’Or, the England international responded by saying:

“If that’s how he feels, then you can split it in two (laughs).”

The responses show the strong bond and camaraderie that the two superstars of Real Madrid share.

Both are contenders to lift the Golden Ball this year and a win in the Champions League, coupled with strong performances in the summer’s international tournaments, would further enhance their chances.
