Kylian Mbappe’s entourage have maintained contacts with Manchester City alongside Real Madrid

According to a report by Cadena SER, as relayed by SPORT, Kylian Mbappe’s entourage have initiated and maintained contact with Manchester City alongside Real Madrid.

While Mbappe is officially represented by his mother, he also has a group of other people in his entourage who work to represent him. And one of these three representatives were apparently in Manchester last Monday, and spoke to Man City officials.

While the media claims that there is only one destination on Mbappe’s mind, the player seems to be checking for alternatives at the same time. He was also linked with Liverpool and Arsenal once the news about his departure was announced.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, and Liverpool and French centre-back Ibrahim Konate had very different views on it, though.

“When there is a player of that calibre we always have to be in the conversation but, as you say, it looks in a different way,” Arteta said about it.

Konate, meanwhile, joked with the press who had asked him about Mbappe potentially joining Liverpool, saying, “In all honesty do you really think he’s going to come to Liverpool? We don’t think about him, we all know where he’s going to go.”

The transfer to Madrid seems inevitable, though, with the club offering him a €100-120 million signing bonus to go with the potentially €30 million in net wages he will earn annually at the club.

A move to Man City will definitely be surprising, though. With Erling Haaland already at the club, and doing unsurprisingly well, it seems farfetched that they will chase Mbappe, who is considered the long-term rival to the Norwegian.

At the end of the day, though, this definitely seems like Mbappe’s last chance to join Real Madrid and fulfill his dream. Should he somehow dodge them again this summer, one can assume Florentino Perez to shut the door on the move forever.

Real Madrid ace misses training for third consecutive day ahead of UCL final

As Real Madrid get closer and closer to their final game of the season against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, they are now sweating over the availability of one of their players.

It has already been confirmed that both David Alaba and Aurelien Tchouameni will miss the finals in London due to injuries.

Other than that, Carlo Ancelotti is likely to have the entirety of his squad available at his disposal, although there could be some concerns surrounding Andriy Lunin.

Lunin not in training for the third day in running

Indeed, Andriy Lunin has not participated in team training today, making it three days in a row heading into the Champions League final, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper is down with a fever that has kept him out of training for three days in a row now.

However, the report does add that despite not being in training for three days now, the Ukrainian international will fly to London and be on the squad list for the finals.

But with reports already suggesting that Thibaut Courtois will be starting in goal against Dortmund, Lunin’s continued absence from training only further strengthens the Belgian’s chances.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was absent from training on Tuesday due to personal reasons, is back working with the rest of the squad today. The Spaniard will have no involvement in Saturday’s final though.

Carlo Ancelotti is likely to go with the exact same starting lineup that he named for the Merengues’ final La Liga match against Real Betis.
