Countless negotiations, discussions, and obstacles have stood in the way, prolonging Real Madrid’s efforts to sign Kylian Mabppe, but the saga could be resolved one way or the other in the coming weeks.

Florentino Perez’s wait might not be in vain after all, as according to Ramón Álvarez de Mon, in order for Mbappé to join Real Madrid this summer or in 2024, the club and player are executing a coordinated strategic plan.

If PSG does not trade him this summer, the Frenchman will sign a contract with Real Madrid in January 2024.

With one year left on the World Cup winner’s contract, PSG are desperate to cash out on him before potentially bidding him farewell on a free transfer in 2024.

Mbappe has reassured his desire to see out his year left with the Parisians, but the idea of not renewing does not sit well with PSG.

Moreover, the report states Mbappe’s mother and representative Fayza Lamari is pushing for her son to join Real Madrid.

The negotiations for Mbappé to move to Madrid, whether this summer or the next, are being handled by the player’s mother. These discussions with PSG over the player’s future are tense.

After Madrid’s previous attempt to land the French superstar last year failed, Perez came out to acknowledge Mbappe’s personal will to join as well as his mother’s desire.

“I think his mother wanted him to come to Real Madrid, because it was his dream as a little boy. I haven’t spoken to her, but they tell us that she is upset. When the circumstances change and a person makes a decision, you have to respect it. He’s 23 and was put under a lot of pressure,” he had said.

But a lot will depend on whether Mbappe is willing to relent on his stance and leave PSG this summer or if he decides to wait until January to sign a pre-contract agreement and arrive at the Bernabeu next year.

Either way, until there is a definitive conclusion from the Mbappe saga, Real Madrid have put their plans for a new forward on hold.

Heaven help Real Madrid and their fans. Mbappe will unsettle the team with his behaviour and is certainly not worth the money being asked. His disliking for South America footballers is well documented which will not be welcomed by the players and training staff. Let him stay with PSG

In a big development, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Real Madrid midfield sensation Eduardo Camavinga is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club.

The French international has been at the club since 2021, when he was signed from Rennes, and has grown into a vital member of Carlo Ancelotti’s setup.

Camavinga’s performances over the past year have been tremendous and the Frenchman is now one of the permanent fixtures in midfield even ahead of veterans like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos this season.

Only final details pending

Camavinga’s contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2027, but the club have been working on offering him a new deal for a while now.

And now, Romano is reporting that the 20-year-old midfield prodigy is on the cusp of penning a renewal, with only the final details of the agreement left to be ironed out.

Camavinga’s new contract is set to come with a wage increase as well as a release clause as Real Madrid wish to ‘protect’ the player and avoid overtures from other clubs.

Key for the present and the future

Romano further outlines that Real Madrid see Camavinga as a key part of the club’s plans for the present and the future.

The 20-year-old midfield sensation loves the Merengues and the club too loves the young talent who has made rapid strides in the time that he has been there.

Some other reports in Spain suggest that Camavinga’s agent is already in the capital city to finalise the renewal agreement.

So, as things stand, Camavinga is set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid with a bigger salary and release clause.

The 20-year-old will form the core of the team for the present and the future along with fellow youngsters like Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo Goes, among others.
