La Liga goalkeeper ‘would love’ to join Real Madrid this summer – report

Following the untimely serious injury of Thibaut Courtois, a somber hush has befallen the Real Madrid faithful.
Real Madrid, often held together by his commanding presence, now face a trial of character and unity with the player set to miss a large portion of the forthcoming campaign due to an ACL injury.
Los Blancos are expected to make some moves in an attempt to fill the void Courtois has left between the sticks.
And one of the big names on the radars of the Merengues is Yassine Bounou of Sevilla.
Bono has always admired Real Madrid
According to AS, Bono has always admired Real Madrid and “would love” to join the club.
Given the tricky circumstances, acquiring Bono would allow the Spanish capital club to make up for the absence of their key man between the sticks.
Bono currently plies his trade with Sevilla in La Liga and plays for the Moroccan National Team. His quick reflexes and ability to play out from the back render him a viable replacement for Courtois.

The 32-year-old has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, but prefers to continue in Europe. There had been links to the likes Tottenham, PSG, and Bayern Munich, but nothing came of it.
Now, he could be an option for Real Madrid as a possible replacement for the injured Courtois.
Complications in his signing
While Bono would potentially fit Real Madrid like a glove, there are a few complications with his arrival that Real Madrid remain wary of.
Firstly, his release clause is worth €50 million, although the report suggests that the player and Sevilla have an agreement that the club would let him go for €20 million, which would still be a significant sum.
Furthermore, Bono is bound to participate in the AFCON that will take place between 13 January and 11 February 2024.
Having cemented himself as a crucial cog for Morocco, the likelihood of him missing a few games of the club season is high.
So, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid go after Bono or decide to sign a different player, with Manchester United legend David de Gea already being offered to the club.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
