Liverpool show interest in Real Madrid forward who rules out summer exit
Back at Real Madrid for the 2026/27 season, Brazilian forward Endrick has attracted interest from Liverpool. as confirmed by ESPN Brasil.
The English giants have expressed interest in the Brazilian, but no official offer has been made so far. However, the 20-year-old attacker has no intention of leaving the Spanish capital club.
Endrick not going anywhere
Real Madrid invested heavily in Endrick back to sign him from Palmeiras, but minutes proved hard to come by for him in his first year and a half.
As such, he was loaned out to Lyon in January, where he excelled and earned a spot in the Brazil squad for the World Cup.
Having returned to Real Madrid, Endrick’s future has been a constant subject of speculation, especially with the club signing Carlos Espi and Yan Diomande to reinforce the attacking department.
But, Endrick does not wish to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, while Los Blancos themselves do not intend to offload him.
The Brazilian international was approached in recent weeks about loan moves by clubs including Aston Villa and AS Roma. Both Endrick and Jose Mourinho immediately rejected those approaches.
The forward has been given the number 9 shirt for the 2026/27 season, indicating their faith in the youngster.
Endrick impresses Mourinho
Endrick has impressed greatly in training and with his attitude toward remaining at Real Madrid.
From Mourinho’s perspective, the forward can be useful in several attacking positions, an important advantage for the 20-year-old attacker, given the level of competition for places.
At the moment, Mourinho has the following options in attack: Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Espi, Diomande and the injured Rodrygo.
While it will not be easy to get minutes, Endrick intends to stay at Real Madrid and fight for his place in Mourinho’s team.
The attacker is recovering from a minor overload and has not been training with the group this week, and he could miss the opener against RCD Espanyol.
His situation, however, could be reassessed in the January transfer window based on how much he plays in the coming months. For now, though, a move to Liverpool is not on the cards.
Real Madrid will be looking to pick up their fifth win of the 2026/27 La Liga season when they take on Elche CF at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero later tonight.
With 12 points from five games, Los Blancos are currently second in the league table, three points below leaders FC Barcelona.
As such, the Spanish capital club will be eager to get the win and close the gap to the top.
Guler starts, Bellingham rested
Ahead of kickoff, Real Madrid have announced the starting lineup that will take the field against Elche, with Jose Mourinho making some important changes.
For starters, Arda Guler is back in the lineup after appearing as a substitute in the win over Rayo Vallecano.
Interestingly, however, he starts in the attacking midfield role, with Mourinho opting to rest Jude Bellingham, who has started all of Real Madrid’s games so far.
That also means that Yan Diomande retains his place in the team, starting for a second time in a row on the right wing. Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. continue in their respective positions in attack.
Another notable change sees Aurelien Tchouameni make his first start of the season after recovering from injury and making two appearances off the bench.
He replaces Bernardo Silva as Federico Valverde’s partner in the middle of the park.
Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Marc Cucurella come in as full-backs, while Ibrahima Konate and Dean Huijsen slot in at centre-back in front of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
