Over the past few days, there have been reports claiming from France and Germany that Kylian Mbappe has made a decision on his future and is ready to join Real Madrid from PSG in the summer.

The Frenchman’s current contract with PSG expires on June 30, 2024, and the Ligue 1 champions have been working hard to try and convince him to extend his stay at the club.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid, who have been vying to sign Mbappe for a long time, are once again knocking on the doors, with it being made clear that if he does not join now, he will not get another opportunity to do so.

Amidst this, there had been reports of Mbappe already deciding to make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, but it appears that is not the case.

Mbappe still considering offers from Real Madrid, PSG

Indeed, as per ESPN, Mbappe remains undecided on his future as Real Madrid and PSG continue to wage war for his services.

As per the report, the 25-year-old has received a contract offer from Los Blancos, while the Parisian giants have also tabled a renewal offer for him. And he is still studying both proposals without making a decision yet.

Real Madrid’s contract offer for Mbappe is understood to be less than what they had presented him two years ago, when he came close to signing before making a U-turn and renewing at PSG.

While the Merengues would still make him the club’s highest-paid player, they do not want to create a big disparity between the wages he earns and that some of the club’s established stars like Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. pocket, which is around €10.5 million net per season.

As for PSG, they too have tabled a renewal offer for Mbappe with the same wages that he currently is believed to be earning – €37 million net per year.

Despite tabling a lucrative proposal, Les Parisiens are suspicious that Mbappe is likely to be on his way to Real Madrid.

Speaking in an interview with Sport BILD (h/t AS), Germany legend Michael Ballack has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz is ready to play for Real Madrid.

Wirtz is a player that Real Madrid have been closely monitoring for a while now, with the German sensation being seen as a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos, who announced his retirement yesterday.

A move for Wirtz is being planned for the summer of 2025 and Ballack believes that the Bundesliga title winner with Leverkusen is ready for the big move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Wirtz is ready for Real Madrid,” said Ballack.

“In terms of football, Wirtz can definitely play for Real Madrid. You can also see it in Jude Bellingham after his move from BVB: when you play with even better players, you become even better,” he added.

Wirtz has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen that runs until the summer of 2027. As things stand, the new German champions have no intentions of selling their prized asset this year.

However, there appears to be an acceptance that the German international will be on the move in 2025.

Other top clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also understood to be interested, but Real Madrid are likely to beat them in the race should it come down to that next year.

A move for Wirtz, though, could cost in excess of €100 million for Real Madrid should they do indeed decide to proceed with his signing next year.
