Mourinho does not consider Real Madrid midfielder ‘untouchable’; club open to offers
Real Madrid are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to strengthen the squad heading into the new season. Four new signings have already been secured, with more expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
However, in order to make room for the new arrivals, Los Blancos will also need to sell some players in the summer. After all, La Liga allows only 25 player registrations in the squad for the season.
As already reported, Real Madrid consider the likes of Ferland Mendy, Fran Garcia, Raul Asencio, and Dani Ceballos sellable.
Eduardo Camavinga not untouchable
Now, according to The Athletic, Real Madrid are open to listening to offers for midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
The 23-year-old Frenchman is coming off a disappointing season, and as per the report, new manager Jose Mourinho does not consider him an ‘untouchable’ player.
The Portuguese tactician intends to build his midfield around the pairing of Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham, with Aurelien Tchouameni also expected to be an integral player, along with whoever the club sign this summer.
Given the situation, Camavinga is not considered a key part of the plans and offers for him will be entertained. Inter Milan, for one, have already asked about the player.
Camavinga intends to stay
However, the report states that those close to the French international see his departure this summer as pretty much ‘impossible’.
Indeed, the 23-year-old midfielder has no intention of leaving the Santiago Bernabeu and is eager to fight for his place in the side and prove himself after a subpar campaign in 2025/26.
Camavinga has been at Real Madrid since 2021, arriving from Rennes in a deal worth around €36 million. While his potential and talent has never been in doubt, so far he has failed to take the next step and establish himself as a mainstay in the team.
Given how things went for him last season, it will not come as a surprise if Real Madrid decide to part ways with him this summer.
If he does stay put, though, the upcoming campaign under Mourinho could end up being his last chance to prove himself at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. admits finishing problem after another frustrating night vs Elche: ‘Can’t miss that much’
Vinicius Jr.’s difficult start in front of goal continued against Elche, and the Real Madrid forward did not need anyone to tell him he had missed another chance to make the difference.
The Brazilian finished the night without a goal despite having chances to get on the scoresheet, while his teammates could only watch from the bench as opportunities went begging.
Jose Mourinho had already identified the problem before kick-off, bluntly pointing to the issue facing his forward, stating, “He’s missing the goal.”
Vini offered an equally frank assessment afterwards.
Rather than hide from another frustrating evening, he accepted responsibility on social media: “The goals will come back; I can’t miss that much…”
Two chances, no finish for Vinicius
Vinicius had two particularly clear openings against Elche, but neither produced the finish Real Madrid needed from their star forward.
The first arrived when he found himself one-on-one with the opposition goalkeeper.
Instead of finding the net, Vinicius caught the ball with the tip of his foot and sent his effort wide. Arda Guler was available during the move and called for the ball, but Vini backed himself to finish the chance.
He had another opportunity after the interval, this time following an excellent pass from Guler during a quick Real Madrid transition. Again, though, Vinicius could not find the target.
His evening ended in the 68th minute, with Mourinho deciding the Brazilian was tired and turning his attention towards Sunday’s Atletico Madrid derby.
Mourinho has a bigger decision to make
The numbers show why Vinicius’ finishing has become a talking point. He managed five shots against Elche, but only one was on target and none found the net.
After seven appearances this season, the Brazilian has scored just once, which is a striking return for a player Real Madrid rely upon to provide a major share of their attacking threat.
Ultimately, though, Real Madrid found another route to victory, with Arda Guler, Kylian Mbappe and Carlos Espi providing the goals in the 3-2 comeback.

I don’t like mou for one thing, unable to manage players … carrying grievance and doing things arrogant…just to show or be in the news … you back at Madrid just don’t make things worse we have a lovely squad….bring back those that did well while on loan and blend them with the new addition…thanks
