Neymar hails Real Madrid youngsters: “They are players of great quality”

Real Madrid is home to some of Brazil’s finest talents of the next generation. Vincius Jr and Rodrygo Goes, at 23 and 22 years of age respectively, are already well-established in the Brazilian National Team.
Further, Los Blancos house Eder Militao, one of the nation’s best defenders, and Brazil’s most exciting upcoming talent Endrick, who will join the club next summer.
Neymar Jr spoke recently in an interview where he gave his two cents on whether Vini Jr and Rodrygo could succeed him as the protagonists in the Brazilian national team, in the years to come.
“Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo are players of great quality, stars who I’m certain will take on this role. In my opinion, they already are because they already have the name for it, regardless of me,” he said, as quoted by AS.
“I am happy that they are reaching this level, that they are already at this level and are helping the Brazilian team, which is very important. They are two boys that I really like. Vini and Rodrygo are two friends, I talk a lot with both of them,” he added.

The Al Hilal winger then spoke on Ancelotti’s potential appointment as the head coach of the Selecao and what it would mean to him to work with the Italian tactician.
“If Ancelotti becomes Brazil’s manager, he’ll be very well received. He’s a renowned person who has won everything in his career. If I get the chance, I’ll obviously enjoy it very much. I’ll try to learn as much as I can from him.”
Vinicius, out through injury
Having beaten Getafe 2-1 at Santiago Bernabeu at the weekend, Real Madrid are set to disperse for the international break. Vini Jr, however, will miss the national team duty this time around through injury.
The 23-year-old is expected to be out for at least five more weeks after he injured his thigh in the game against Celta Vigo. Having been called up to the Brazil squad, he was replaced by Barcelona’s Raphinha after injury.
Rodrygo, meanwhile, will travel with the Selecao to face Bolivia and Peru and will join forces with Neymar Jr.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
