In a major update, Real Madrid have officially confirmed that Jude Bellingham has joined the squad for tonight’s La Liga clas against Real Sociedad. However, key forward Rodrygo has been ruled out.

Both Bellingham and Rodrygo were not in training on Thursday night, with the midfielder dealing with gastroenteritis and the forward ailing with flu.

When Carlo Ancelotti announced the squad list, Bellingham was not included but Rodrygo was named as part of the travelling party for the trip to San Sebastian.

However, there has been a switch of places between the pair now as Bellingham feels sufficiently recovered from his problem and is back in the squad.

On the other hand, Rodrygo has dropped out of the squad as he is still not recovered fully from the flu.

While Bellingham might be included in the squad list for the trip to face Real Sociedad, it is extremely unlikely that he will be playing any part.

Ancelotti is expected to make wholesale changes to his starting XI tonight, with fringe players like Arda Guler, Dani Ceballos, and Fran Garcia, among others, likely to get minutes.

Real Madrid officially played their final game of the league season this past weekend and the focus now shifts to the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1.

The Spanish champions have the glorious opportunity to secure their 15th Champions League title this on Sunday.

But heading into this clash, Real Madrid are likely to miss out on the services of one of the key players – Aurelien Tchouameni.

The Frenchman will likely be ruled out for the UCL final due to an injury incurred earlier this month.

Tchouameni on UCL final

Speaking ahead of the final, Tchouameni admitted that it would be very difficult for him to participate in the UCL final.

“I can run, I think it is very difficult to play in this final and we have more players who can be in my position. The important thing is that we are going to win this Champions League,” Tchouameni said.

The Frenchman added that he would try to help the team any way he can, stating, “If I can be the MVP from the bench, I’ll do it.”

Considered by many as the future of the Real Madrid midfield, Tchouameni has played a valuable role in the middle of the park this season.

His versatility, coupled with his ability to spread the play and put pressure on the opposition have served as key to Real Madrid’s success.

Although Tchouameni might not feature in this final, the player expressed his optimism about the Real Madrid team, adding, “I really want to play in this final, but I’m sure we will reach more finals [in coming years].”

Finally, Tchouameni expressed his happiness at Real Madrid, stating, “It’s an incredible feeling to be at Real Madrid.”

Formerly of AS Monaco, Tchouameni has featured in 88 competitive matches since joining Real Madrid in 2022. With Toni Kroos retiring, he is expected to play a crucial role for the club going forward, although not necessarily in the upcoming Champions League final.
