Premier League giants pull out of race to sign Kylian Mbappe – report

Transfer speculation regarding Kylian Mbappe has become somewhat of an inevitable trend during the transfer window over the last couple of seasons, but there never seems to be a concrete resolution about the Frenchman’s future.
And with the speculation come a host of reports regarding clubs that would like to secure the highly sought-after 24-year-old. Aside from the links to Real Madrid and the mouth-watering proposal from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, a number of English clubs were also reported to be keeping their eyes peeled for Mbappe.
However, according to a report by Le Parisien (h/t Madrid Xtra), Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea have halted their pursuit of Mbappe.
Speculation has been rife in recent weeks about Mbappe’s potential transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain, and while it does seem like Madrid are frontrunners for his signature, there has been no concrete decision
Reports also surfaced earlier that Real Madrid have been in contact with the player’s camp, but are waiting for the player or PSG to make the first move in order to take matters forward.
The Galacticos seem to have a fairly strong position in these negotiations, given Mbappe’s tentativeness to commit anywhere else. His fractured relationship with PSG makes it highly unlikely that the Frenchman will stay with the club.
Despite having splurged in the summer on Jude Bellingham, among other exciting signings like Arda Guler, Madrid’s strong financial position could see them comfortably spend more cash to bring in Mbappe.
A crucial few weeks lie ahead in this transfer saga. This could finally be the window when Florentino Perez’s dream of bringing the World-Cup winner to Madrid comes to fruition unless the record-breaking proposal from Al Ahli sways the youngster.

Real Madrid midfield prodigy on the verge of signing a contract renewal – Romano

In a big development, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Real Madrid midfield sensation Eduardo Camavinga is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club.
The French international has been at the club since 2021, when he was signed from Rennes, and has grown into a vital member of Carlo Ancelotti’s setup.
Camavinga’s performances over the past year have been tremendous and the Frenchman is now one of the permanent fixtures in midfield even ahead of veterans like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos this season.
Only final details pending
Camavinga’s contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2027, but the club have been working on offering him a new deal for a while now.
And now, Romano is reporting that the 20-year-old midfield prodigy is on the cusp of penning a renewal, with only the final details of the agreement left to be ironed out.
Camavinga’s new contract is set to come with a wage increase as well as a release clause as Real Madrid wish to ‘protect’ the player and avoid overtures from other clubs.
Key for the present and the future
Romano further outlines that Real Madrid see Camavinga as a key part of the club’s plans for the present and the future.

The 20-year-old midfield sensation loves the Merengues and the club too loves the young talent who has made rapid strides in the time that he has been there.
Some other reports in Spain suggest that Camavinga’s agent is already in the capital city to finalise the renewal agreement.
So, as things stand, Camavinga is set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid with a bigger salary and release clause.
The 20-year-old will form the core of the team for the present and the future along with fellow youngsters like Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo Goes, among others.
