Kylian Mbappe has once again become the talking point of yet another transfer window.

The Frenchman’s future has been in focus, with Real Madrid keen on convincing the forward to sign a pre-contract agreement over a free transfer in the summer.

The Spanish giants have been pushing Mbappe to take a decision on his future as quickly as possible, especially with PSG also hopeful of a contract extension.

Pessimism in the PSG camp

A recent report from RMC Sport (h/t Mundo Deportivo) has offered an update on the future of Mbappe, suggesting that there is a sense of pessimism growing inside the PSG camp, as far as the future of the player is concerned.

PSG have already proposed a renewal offer to Mbappe. But they haven’t heard anything from the player just yet.

This has led to pessimism in the Parisians’ camp, with many doubting his continuity at Parc des Princes. As a result, even PSG are putting pressure on the Frenchman to make a decision on his future.

Two choices for Mbappe

As things stand, Mbappe has two viable options, as far as his future is concerned.

The former AS Monaco starlet could continue at PSG, with the French giants ready to offer a significantly better offer than the existing package.

Another option is to join Real Madrid on a free transfer. He can sign a pre-contract agreement and is likely to earn a handsome signing bonus in the summer.

However, upon joining Real Madrid, the Frenchman’s salary will decrease considerably.

Mbappe’s camp has so far remained silent on the issue, but the coming couple of weeks could be crucial, as far as the player’s future is concerned.

Real Madrid will sign off on their successful La Liga campaign today with a fixture against Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The game, being seen as a final preparation for the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, sees manager Carlo Ancelotti field his strongest possible lineup.

All eyes will obviously be on the retiring Toni Kroos, who bids goodbye to the Bernabeu in what will be his final home game as a Real Madrid player.

The German international starts in the centre of the park alongside Federico Valverde, while Eduardo Camavinga slots in as the No. 6.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid captain, Nacho Fernandez, also starts in what could be his last game at the Bernabeu as well.

Nacho pairs up with Antonio Rudiger in defence, flanked by the full-back pairing of Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy. Thibaut Courtois starts in goal ahead of Andriy Lunin and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Up front, Vinicius Jr. starts in attack, partnering up with Rodrygo Goes. Top scorer Jude Bellingham occupies the attacking midfield role for Real Madrid.
