According to an update from Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain will push Kylian Mbappe to decide his future this week. If the player fails to do so, the club will sethis price this week and commence negotiations with interested clubs anyway.

Les Parisiens‘ stance comes after the player’s repeated attempts to foil a prompt move away from the French capital. Mbappe demands to be paid a loyalty bonus before he leaves, but his club are understandably hesitant to pay such a large sum to a star set to leave.

PSG thus hope to put Mbappe under pressure with their latest step. After all, the winger has not yet made a final decision over his future. He will only communicate his intentions to the club once he is 100% sure.

Real Madrid have been monitoring the developments in France and are awaiting the green light from Mbappe over a departure. Needless to say, it will be up to PSG to bring the player to the exit door. It is them who stand to lose if he sees out his contract.

Los Blancos anticipate the player’s signing to cost over €200 million and are willing to pay that fee. The coming week will thus be critical on that front, especially considering the French side’s latest stance on negotiations.

While there has been no tangible development, it is clear that the hurdles in Mbappe’s move now appear easier to cross. With PSG reconciling to pay part of his bonus, the 24-year-old can have no further excuses to push for continuity.

The Frenchman could take part in PSG’s pre-season tour in Japan this month as things stand. Yet, with PSG wanting him to make a decision by the end of the week, there could be some development soon. The coming days will be critical.

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.

However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.

Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”

“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.

Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.

Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid

Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.

Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.

Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.

The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
