Real Madrid’s season so far has been rocked by injuries, especially in the defensive unit where stars such as Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois have been ruled out for long-term knocks.

Even David Alaba has been the subject of frequent injuries that have minimised Carlo Ancelotti’s options in the defensive unit.

Despite the injuries, though, Real Madrid have shown no indication of going after a new player in the upcoming January transfer window.

They are, however, keeping tabs on various young players in the market, one of which is Leny Yoro of LOSC Lille.

PSG intensifying interest in Yoro

A recent report from Santi Aouna has offered an update on the future of Yoro, suggesting that PSG have intensified their pursuit of the Lille starlet.

It appears the French giants want to take action and move ahead of English and other major European clubs, including Real Madrid, in the race to sign the youngster.

The 18-year-old centre-back does have a contract at Lille until 2025. But the French club have no intention of giving up on the player and wants to further extend his contract.

Time for Real Madrid to make a move?

A product of Lille’s youth academy, Yoro has been enjoying an outstanding season in Ligue 1. With 12 appearances, he has become a key defensive outlet for the French outfit.

Standing at 1.9m, Yoro has impressed onlookers with his strong defensive presence at the back, coupled with his athleticism – making him a top target for various European clubs.

PSG are among those clubs who have identified Yoro’s talents and are prepared to take the next step, in their bid to sign the player.

Needless to say, time is running out for Real Madrid. But it is unlikely that the Spanish giants are going to make any move for Yoro, especially if the player ends up leaving Lille in the upcoming January transfer window.

Real Madrid ace misses training for third consecutive day ahead of UCL final

As Real Madrid get closer and closer to their final game of the season against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, they are now sweating over the availability of one of their players.

It has already been confirmed that both David Alaba and Aurelien Tchouameni will miss the finals in London due to injuries.

Other than that, Carlo Ancelotti is likely to have the entirety of his squad available at his disposal, although there could be some concerns surrounding Andriy Lunin.

Lunin not in training for the third day in running

Indeed, Andriy Lunin has not participated in team training today, making it three days in a row heading into the Champions League final, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper is down with a fever that has kept him out of training for three days in a row now.

However, the report does add that despite not being in training for three days now, the Ukrainian international will fly to London and be on the squad list for the finals.

But with reports already suggesting that Thibaut Courtois will be starting in goal against Dortmund, Lunin’s continued absence from training only further strengthens the Belgian’s chances.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was absent from training on Tuesday due to personal reasons, is back working with the rest of the squad today. The Spaniard will have no involvement in Saturday’s final though.

Carlo Ancelotti is likely to go with the exact same starting lineup that he named for the Merengues’ final La Liga match against Real Betis.
