As the season progresses, Real Madrid are becoming increasingly optimistic about the prospect of seeing Kylian Mbappe in all-whites next season.

The Frenchman was at the doorstep of Real Madrid for two years in a row now, but the club were not able to finalise the deal.

But with Mbappe’s contract expiring at the end of the season, many expect this to be the last season for the player at Parc des Princes.

PSG remain hopeful of renewal

However, according to a report from RMC Sport, PSG still haven’t given up and remain hopeful of their chances to keep hold of Mbappe beyond the summer.

The report notes that as long as Mbappe does not inform club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi regarding his desire to join Real Madrid, there is every chance of the player renewing his contract.

PSG have already offered Mbappe a lucrative proposal, which could see him earn significantly more than what he would at Real Madrid next season.

The Spanish giants are reportedly offering up to €15 million in salary, with a signing bonus worth €60 million. PSG, in contrast, are ready to more than double that valuation.

Decision coming soon

As both PSG and Real Madrid continue to put pressure on the attacker, RMC Sport claims that a decision regarding Mbappe’s future will soon be made.

The forward has been closely exploring his options and it is only a matter of time before he informs PSG and Real Madrid of his intentions.

One thing is for certain – Mbappe will either renew at PSG or join Real Madrid. There is not much likelihood of a third-party involvement.

Should Mbappe remain at PSG, though, his hopes of playing Real Madrid could be all but over, as the club might not appreciate another snub from the 25-year-old.

As has been reported by multiple reliable sources today, Alphonso Davies is likely to be on his way to Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in the summer.

It has been suggested that the 23-year-old Canadian left-back already has a verbal agreement with Los Blancos over a transfer either this summer or in 2025, when his contract with the Bundesliga champions runs down.

Now, the idea is for Real Madrid to start negotiations with Bayern Munich over a transfer fee so that a mutually beneficial agreement can be reached for the summer window.

Real Madrid will not pay crazy money

Amidst all this, Fabrizio Romano has come out with an update claiming that Real Madrid do not intend to pay ‘crazy money’ to sign Davies from Bayern Munich given that he will be entering the final year of his contract.

The Italian transfer expert claims that Real Madrid have been the preferred destination for Davies for a while now and that the personal terms between the two parties will not be an issue at all.

So, a summer move would now hinge on Bayern Munich’s asking price for their left-back.

Romano states that the Bavarian giants will attempt to tie Davies down to a new contract until May or even June.

But if the left-back, who is demanding hefty wages worth around €20 million, does not agree to sign, they will be forced to sell instead of losing him for free next year.

In that scenario, Real Madrid will be best-placed to sign Davies, although Los Blancos will not go overboard with their spending on the Canadian.
