Real Madrid aware of Premier League threat as club eye potential departures
Real Madrid will not make any new signings this summer unless there is a sudden and massive departure from the club that creates space on the roster.
With under ten days to go in the transfer market, one would expect that to be unlikely given that nothing major has unfolded over the past several weeks.
The reality, however, is that transfers often speed up only in the final week of the transfer window with agents working round the clock to complete moves. Real Madrid, on that front, are aware of the realistic chance of a departure.
Alert to English offers
As confirmed by Diario AS in a recent report, Real Madrid are alert to the market in the closing days of the window, well aware of the fact that interest might arrive for a departure-linked star.
Several players on the first-team have already been told first-hand by the manager that they are not in his plans. They have chosen to stay and impress him so far, but offers in the final week may change their minds.
Moreover, Los Blancos are well aware of the threat that arrives from the Premier League, especially given how clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool are on the lookout for new midfielders.
Names like Eduardo Camavinga, needless to say, could well change their stance if such an offer arrives this week with promising terms.

Not only are Real Madrid prepared to facilitate a departure if it arrives in the closing days of the window, but they are also prepared to act immediately and sign a replacement.
Well aware of the possibility of an exit, Los Blancos already have names on their shortlist who could arrive in a last-minute transfer to reinforce the squad.
Should there be a departure, the centre-back and central midfield remain the team’s two massive priorities with the latter perhaps standing higher on the priority chart.
There is even talk of accelerating negotiations and closing transfers for future transfer windows if the deal cannot be completed in the ongoing summer break. Needless to say, there is a lot to look forward to in the final days of the market as a Real Madrid fan.
In what will come as a pleasing development for fans, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo could make a comeback from his injury earlier than expected.
The 25-year-old Brazilian international has been out of action since March after suffering an ACL injury during a La Liga game against Getafe.
Due to the complete rupture of the ACL, coupled with associated meniscus damage, it was suggested that the attacker was staring at a lengthy time out on the sidelines and might not return until 2027.
In fact, the forward’s father, Eric Goes, recently stated in an interview that the Real Madrid ace could be back in February next year, just before the business end of the campaign.
Rodrygo could be back in December
However, as per the update from Romano, Rodrygo’s comeback could happen well before that expected date.
Indeed, if things continue to progress at the current rate, the 25-year-old attacker might return to action in December or by January 2027 at the latest.
This will come as a welcome boost for Jose Mourinho & co., considering that Rodrygo is a valuable player for the team.
Even though he had endured a tough spell prior to his form, the Brazilian’s versatility, work rate off the ball, and eye for a goal make him an asset.
Rodrygo eager to be back at his best
The update from Romano further states that Rodrygo feels very grateful to Real Madrid for all the help and support they have given him during this difficult phase of his career.
As such, the Brazilian international has made it a mission to return to action in the best shape possible and make an impact from the get-go.
The attacker has only recently begun working on the pitch with the ball indicating the significant progress he has made on the road to recovery.
And, if there are no setbacks, Real Madrid could recover one of their ace attackers before the end of the current year.
So far in his career, Rodrygo has made 297 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 71 goals. He has a contract with the club until 2028.
