With Real Madrid looking to quickly find a solution to their goalkeeping problem following Thibaut Courtois’ ACL injury, Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou could very well be the answer.

Indeed, the 32-year-old shot-stopper, commonly known as Bono, has emerged as the coaching staff’s favourite to join the Merengues.

Now, Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato is reporting that Real Madrid have already held talks with Bono’s agent over a possible transfer.

Indeed, the club’s chief scout and main man when it comes to transfers, Juni Calafat, is understood to have already spoken to the Moroccan international’s representative about a switch from Sevilla.

Los Blancos are said to really like Bono and given that the season kicks off in a couple of days, they wish to wrap up the transfer soon.

As far as Sevilla are concerned, talks have been held between them and Real Madrid as well.

Los Nervionenses are open to the sale of the 32-year-old ace for a fee of close to €20 million, including add-ons.

However, Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA is reporting that Real Madrid would not be prepared to make a €20 million outlay on Bono at this point.

Instead, the Spanish capital giants would prefer to sign the 32-year-old veteran on a season-long loan deal, something that might not appeal to Sevilla, who are in need of generating revenue to improve their economic situation.

Talks between the two clubs are at this juncture at this point, with there being no agreement over the type of operation.

But with the player keen on the move and Carlo Ancelotti & co. also preferring him over other options, there could be a breakthrough in negotiations in the coming days.

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.

However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.

Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”

“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.

Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.

Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid

Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.

Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.

Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.

The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
