Real Madrid close to signing 19-year-old right-back on loan with €15m buy option – Romano

After having had Vinicius Tobias on loan for over a year from Shakhtar Donetsk, Real Madrid opted against signing him permanently at the end of the 2022/23 season.
But, now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Los Blancos are close to re-signing the Brazilian right-back on yet another loan deal from Shakhtar.
Tobias first joined Real Madrid in April last year, signing on a 14-month loan deal until the end of the 2022/23 campaign. The 19-year-old spent most of his time in Spain with the club’s Castilla outfit under Raul Gonzalez.
The young defender went on to make 39 appearances for Castilla, registering four assists in the process. He also played five times for Real Madrid’s Under-19 outfit in the UEFA Youth League, managing a solitary assist.
Tobias was part of the matchday squad for the Merengues’ first team just once in a Copa del Rey clash but never made an appearance for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Even though he showed good levels in the early parts of the 2022/23 season with Castilla, his performances dipped towards the backend of the season. As such, it was believed that Real Madrid were willing to allow him to return to Shakhtar Donetsk.
However, it seems like Tobias will be back at the club again this summer, with a loan deal set to be finalised in the next 24 hours thanks to the great relationship between the two clubs.
Romano reports that the loan deal will be for one year until 2024, for which Real Madrid will pay a fee of €500,000. Beyond that, the Merengues will also retain a non-mandatory purchase option worth €15 million for Tobias.
Once the deal goes through, the 19-year-old full-back will become the fourth signing of the summer after Fran Garcia, Jude Bellingham, and Joselu. And it will be interesting to see whether the Brazilian gets a look-in into the first team this time out or not.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
