Real Madrid ‘closer’ to Barcelona, PSG target’s entourage, could make offer soon – report

At just 16 years of age, Endrick has already caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs. The Brazilian will not be able to leave his country two years down the line, yet a host of clubs are lining up for his signature. This is a testament to the youngster’s quality and a sky-high ceiling.
Unsurprisingly, Real Madrid are amongst the top contenders to sign the Brazilian star. Los Blancos have seen unprecedented success in the South American market in recent years and wish to keep the working formula going.
According to reports from MARCA, Los Blancos have made closer contact with Endrick and his entourage and are working in silence. In the coming days, the club will make a final decision if they are to send Palmeiras an official offer for the teenager or not. As it stands, the player is very close to Real Madrid.
Yesterday, it was reported that PSG had an offer of €20 million rejected by the Brazilian club as they value their young star around €35-40 million.
Bringing Endrick to the Santiago Bernabeu will not be an economically simple operation, but it is a gamble the club must be willing to take.
PSG, Barcelona and Arsenal are among the many clubs rivalling Carlo Ancelotti’s side for the 16-year-old’s signature. However, Real Madrid’s scouting head Juni Calafat seems determined to bring in the player at all costs, and the first offer from Madrid may not be far off.
Endrick scored six goals in just seven appearances for Palmeiras in the Copinha tournament. Furthermore, he also found the back of the net five times in his last four appearances for the Brazilian U-17 outfit.
Having recently made his first-team debut for the Brazilian club, he registered his first assist for the side and is being tipped for great things. Whether he follows in the path of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo to Real Madrid remains to be seen.

Real Madrid defender doubt for El Clasico, injury not serious though

Real Madrid fans were dealt with a massive blow when star player Antonio Rudiger was left out of the squad against Real Valladolid, allegedly due to knee discomfort.
The injury sparked fears over his absence in the upcoming Copa Del Rey semifinal against Barcelona.
However, according to a report from Sergio Quirante, Rudiger’s knee injury is not thought to be serious. It appears the decision to leave him out of the squad against Valladolid may only be a precaution, with the defender set to undergo ultrasonic tests tomorrow.
Rudiger, whose injury scare came just 48 hours before Real Madrid’s big game against Barcelona, has been a stellar success in the club’s backline this season.
The German international has emerged as a real leader at the back, using his experience and authority to good effect. Although Real Madrid’s defence has left a lot to be desired this season, Rudiger has been one of the bright sparks.
His potential absence, therefore, could serve as a major blow for Los Blancos, in their hopes to reach the Copa Del Rey semifinal next week.
Real Madrid are heading into this semifinal with a 1-0 defeat in the first leg, meaning keeping a clean sheet could be mandatory if they are to overturn the deficit and book a place in the final. Rudiger, in that regard, could prove to be a vital asset.
In the meantime, Real Madrid are heading into the Valladolid game with David Alaba and Eder Militao as two of the only reliable centre-backs in the team. Among the two, Alaba has struggled with injuries this season, so it will be interesting to see how Carlo Ancelotti deals with this tricky situation this afternoon.
