Real Madrid coach has no issues with under-fire superstar; expects him to return to his best
As we enter the first international break of the season, there is a lot to ponder for Real Madrid, who are already trailing league leaders Barcelona by six points.
One of Real Madrid’s main concerns will be the relative lack of performance from Vinicius Jr. Fresh off the back of a contract renewal, the Brazilian has struggled to perform this season, scoring just one goal.
It was reported recently that Jose Mourinho’s patience with Vinicius Jr. is wearing thin and the player could soon lose his place in the starting eleven.
However, that is far from the truth.
Mourinho has immense faith in Vini
A recent report from AS has completely denied these claims, adding that Mourinho remains a huge admirer of Vinicius Jr.

The Portuguese tactician is not frustrated with the Brazilian’s performances either and in fact, connects a lot with his personality and adores the attacker.
Mourinho believes there are very few players in this world who can change the game as much as Vinicius Jr. can.
This comes despite the fact that Mourinho has subbed off Vinicius Jr. early in the majority of the games so far, especially when he has struggled to make an impact.
Mourinho believes Vini will come back
The report adds that Mourinho is confident Vinicius Jr. will return to his best form soon, having struggled in these early parts of the campaign.

Indeed, the 26-year-old has racked up only one goal and three assists in eight competitive matches so far, failing to create anything meaningful on the flanks.
Mourinho believes these things will improve as the season progresses. But Vini, for his part, must also be aware of the immense pressure, especially given that Real Madrid have other players keen on making an impact.
The likes of Arda Guler, Yan Diomande and Brahim Diaz are all looking for regular placement in the starting eleven. And Vini’s form doesn’t improve, it won’t be surprising to see Jose Mourinho continuing to sub him off early.

Real Madrid identify €60m-rated Brighton defender as potential 2027 transfer target – report
Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Brighton & Hove Albion defender Luka Vuskovic as they assess options to strengthen their defence ahead of the 2027 transfer windows.
According to Bernabeu Digital, the Croatian centre-back is among the players under consideration as Los Blancos plan for a potential defensive overhaul in the summer of 2027.
The interest comes as Real Madrid prepare for possible departures at centre-back.
On that note, Raul Asencio could be moved on, while Antonio Rudiger is expected to leave when his contract expires.
The club therefore wants to recruit at least one high-quality defender to reinforce the squad for the long term.
Vuskovic, whose market value, as per Transfermarkt, is estimated €60 million, is attracting attention from several major European clubs, although Brighton are understood to have no intention of selling the 19-year-old.
Luka Vuskovic emerges as Real Madrid transfer target

According to Bernabeu Digital, Real Madrid are monitoring Vuskovic as they search for a centre-back capable of strengthening their defensive options.
The Croatian has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, while Tottenham are also keeping track of a player they sold last summer.
Understandably so, the competition for his signature could make any potential deal difficult, particularly with Brighton reluctant to part ways with the defender.
At Real Madrid, they are assessing several candidates, with their priority being to identify players who can provide quality and long-term stability.
Real Madrid consider two centre-back signings for 2027

As such, Real Madrid are reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing in two centre-backs across the upcoming transfer windows.
Vuskovic is one potential option, while Alessandro Bastoni remains another name associated with the club’s defensive plans.
Bastoni was a target for Real Madrid last summer, and despite failing to land the Italian, his profile continues to fit the type of reinforcement being considered.
Notably, the potential exits of Asencio and Rudiger would leave Madrid needing fresh depth and experience at centre-back, and recruiting early could help the club avoid entering a transfer window without a clear succession plan.

This trailing Barcelona by six points is not justified it’s as the result of referees mistakes, and this is the bad side of football, the referees decision is final. It shouldn’t be like that, a law need to be enacted where by referees should compensate the team he has caused the lose, because there are VARb helping them in such situations, and I don’t see why a referee should make mistakes that cost a team their win.
There’s a need to be an overhaul on football laws so that the grieved team can get justice even after the match is over, even if it means getting a rematch.
