Real Madrid are working on reinforcing their team on multiple fronts this summer transfer window, and have prepared a revolutionary sum for their endeavours.

Reports claim that Madrid are ready to sell €300-400 million this summer as they know the team will be unable to compete without a ton more depth.

Four of their forwards have already left the club this summer, a list that starts with Marco Asensio, but also includes Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz, and most importantly, Karim Benzema.

While it is clear that they will be spending a fortune to bring in multiple attackers, Madrid also need to spare money for other positions, such as the left-back spot.

Ferland Mendy has been placed on the exit list, and even if he is to continue, Madrid have already chosen Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies as their next star fullback.

According to Spanish outlet MARCA, Real Madrid have already contacted Bayern Munich over a transfer for Davies this summer. Their approaches have not been rejected by the Bavarian giants.

The report also stated that Madrid have travelled to Munich twice already to speak to Davies’ entourage as they prepare the move. The Canadian has a contract until 2025, and reportedly does not want to extend his deal.

Davies’ attacking prowess could work brilliantly for Vinicius Jr, too, who has been carrying the burden of the left-wing alone for the last two years.

Further, Madrid are very worried about the left-back role, especially given the sheer number of injuries this season. Mendy, David Alaba, Nacho, Antonio Rudiger, and even Eduardo Camavinga have put in shifts in that position.

Davies will not come cheap, though, with the price tag expected to exceed €60-70 million. However, at 22, the Canadian would be a very long-term solution for a problem that’s been worrying Madrid for a few years.

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.

However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.

Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”

“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.

Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.

Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid

Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.

Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.

Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.

The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
