In what will be a major boost for Germany, Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger has fully recovered from his injury and is ready to start tonight against Denmark in the UEFA Euro 2024 Round of 16 clash against Denmark.

This update comes from journalist Florian Plettenberg who reports that the 31-year-old defender has given the green light to play from the start tonight.

Hosts Germany face off against Denmark at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund tonight and had been sweating over the fitness of Rudiger.

The Real Madrid mainstay had suffered a muscle strain during Die Mannschaft’s last group-stage encounter against Switzerland which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The suspension of Jonathan Tah for the game only added to the concerns for Julian Nagelsmann & co. heading into the knockout fixture in Dortmund.

Germany, though, received a timely boost on Friday as Rudiger resumed training normally with the rest of the group, showing signs of fully recovering.

Manager Nagelsmann was cautiously optimistic about the defender’s availability during his press conference on Friday, as he said (h/t Mundo Deportivo):

“At the moment, it looks like he is fine for tomorrow. If nothing happens, he will be able to play. Rudiger is very important, so the doctors have tried everything to make sure he is ready.

“We will see what happens in training today, sometimes if you have muscle problems you have to wait until after the sessions. At the moment, he’s fit again, so we’re happy to have him back.”

Now, it appears that Rudiger has received the all-clear from the medical department and has himself given the green light for his availability tonight as Germany hope to make it past Denmark and qualify for the quarterfinals.

Real Madrid realized one of their biggest sporting and commercial ambitions by signing Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this summer.

Adhering faithfully to their Galacticos philosophy, signing Mbappe exemplified that the Merengues pursue not only elite talent but also renowned figures who carry global recognition.

While Mbappe has yet to play a single minute for the club, he is already busy breaking records at the club.

Mbappe’s shirt sales are through the roof

Indeed, according to El Chiringuito, within a mere day of its launch, Kylian Mbappe’s jersey sales have soared to an astounding 450% higher than those of Jude Bellingham.

Given Bellingham’s huge name in football, this impressive statistic highlights a fervent demand for the French star’s jerseys among supporters worldwide.

Moreover, the club’s online store has reaped substantial financial rewards, generating an impressive sum of €800,000 solely from the sale of Mbappe’s jerseys.

On top of that, they have sold more than 7,000 Mbappe shirts at the club’s physical store which will have provided further revenue boost.

Considering that the 2018 World Cup winner will don the number 9 shirt adds to the incredible demand, as several greats of the game have represented this number in the past, including Karim Benzema most recently.

Real Madrid struggling to keep up with the demand

Reports have mentioned that Real Madrid are appealing for patience from their fans as they handle the high volume of sales.

In fact, Real Madrid eventually posted a note on their website warning that delivery delays of up to 4-6 extra weeks may occur due to the great demand for Mbappe’s kits.

Tuesday, July 16 is set aside for his formal presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu, where a full house is expected to greet him, potentially with a large chunk of the fans wearing Mbappe jerseys.
