Real Madrid defensive target drops hints about continuing at Bayern: “Why not”

Gearing up for what has been rumoured to be a revolutionary summer tranfser window, it is no surprise seeing Real Madrid linked with the cream of the crop of European talents.
Los Blancos have emphasized on strengthening their attack, with many vacancies to fill in the front-line, but absences up front have not overshadowed Madrid’s desire to plug holes at the back.
Alphonso Davies, linked thoroughly with Real Madrid, has been a recurring name in the newspapers. As Ferland Mendy is no longer a guaranteed starter for next season, an exit is being looked for him.
In such a context, handing over the reins to Davies as Madrid’s left-back for the future is what Perez hopes to accomplish.
However, a recent quote by the Canadian international has clouded the Merengues‘ pursuit of the Bayern Munich sensation.
Davies, when asked if he would represent the Bayern shirt for the rest of his career, claimed, “Yeah, if it comes down to it, I don’t see why not. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have great players. We saw many legends come and go.”
The 22-year-old has already elevated to exceptional heights with the Bavarians. At a young age, he has morphed into a fan favourite in Germany. With the trophy cabinet he boasts, Davies’ desire to continue writing history at Bayern is by no means a bolt from the blue.
However, it is worth mentioning that quotes taken in public do not always correlate with the player’s true intentions. Reports have emerged claiming the player is looking for a new challenge, and there is no better place to fight for titles than a club with 14 champions leagues.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
