Real Madrid are eager to bring clarity to the Vinicius Jr. contract renewal story as soon as possible, with the club unwilling to allow uncertainty to continue surrounding one of their most important players.

According to Fabrizio Romano, both Real Madrid and Vinicius Jr remain committed to continuing together, but the discussions are now centred entirely around financial matters.

While there is optimism that an agreement can eventually be reached, the club wants a definitive answer sooner rather than later.

With Brazil’s elimination from the FIFA World Cup now confirmed, attention has shifted towards the player’s club future, and the ongoing Vinicius Jr. renewal talks with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid pushing for a quick decision

Vinicius’ current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2027, meaning that the Los Blancos do not want to risk entering the final stages of the agreement without securing an extension.

Club officials believe it is important to resolve the situation this summer as part of their long-term squad planning.

Simply put, the objective is to avoid a scenario where uncertainty grows around one of the faces of the project at the Santiago Bernabeu.

As part of the latest Real Madrid contract renewal discussions, president Florentino Perez remains determined to keep the Brazilian star at the club.

Furthermore, Vinicius has also expressed his desire to continue in Madrid, meaning there is no disagreement over the player’s commitment to the project.

Instead, the negotiations have become a question of numbers, making this one of the most closely followed stories in recent Real Madrid transfer news.

Salary demands and renewal bonus

The biggest challenge in the ongoing Vinicius Jr new contract negotiations concerns wages and additional financial terms.

Reports suggest the Brazilian forward is seeking a package similar to that of Kylian Mbappe, although recent updates indicate he may be prepared to accept slightly less than the French superstar’s earnings.

The issue that appears to be slowing progress is the renewal bonus. Vinicius’ camp wants such a payment included in the agreement, while Real Madrid are unwilling to consider it under any circumstances.

This disagreement has complicated the Florentino Perez Vinicius Jr. renewal process despite both parties wanting to reach a positive outcome.

Real Madrid are understood to be keen on avoiding a prolonged negotiation, particularly because the player remains one of the club’s biggest assets both on and off the pitch.

In what will come as a pleasing development for fans, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo could make a comeback from his injury earlier than expected.

The 25-year-old Brazilian international has been out of action since March after suffering an ACL injury during a La Liga game against Getafe.

Due to the complete rupture of the ACL, coupled with associated meniscus damage, it was suggested that the attacker was staring at a lengthy time out on the sidelines and might not return until 2027.

In fact, the forward’s father, Eric Goes, recently stated in an interview that the Real Madrid ace could be back in February next year, just before the business end of the campaign.

However, as per the update from Romano, Rodrygo’s comeback could happen well before that expected date.

Indeed, if things continue to progress at the current rate, the 25-year-old attacker might return to action in December or by January 2027 at the latest.

This will come as a welcome boost for Jose Mourinho & co., considering that Rodrygo is a valuable player for the team.

Even though he had endured a tough spell prior to his form, the Brazilian’s versatility, work rate off the ball, and eye for a goal make him an asset.

Rodrygo eager to be back at his best

The update from Romano further states that Rodrygo feels very grateful to Real Madrid for all the help and support they have given him during this difficult phase of his career.

As such, the Brazilian international has made it a mission to return to action in the best shape possible and make an impact from the get-go.

The attacker has only recently begun working on the pitch with the ball indicating the significant progress he has made on the road to recovery.

And, if there are no setbacks, Real Madrid could recover one of their ace attackers before the end of the current year.

So far in his career, Rodrygo has made 297 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 71 goals. He has a contract with the club until 2028.
