Real Madrid forward hits back at Barcelona board member over outburst against Vinicius
Mikel Camps, the deputy spokesperson of the Barcelona board of members, has caused quite a stir in Spanish media after openly calling out Vinicius Junior, in a rather crass manner.
After being left unimpressed by his showboating against Braga, Camps put out a tweet against the Real Madrid superstar, invalidating all his previous experiences with racial intolerance.
“It’s not racism, he deserves a slap for being a clown and hesitation. What do these unnecessary and meaningless bicycles represent in the centre of the field?” he had tweeted.
Rodrygo reacts to Camps’ tweet
Although Mikel Camps has since deleted his tweet, various media channels across Spain have come up with reports, after taking screenshots of the tweet.
It appears Real Madrid players have now even started reacting to the tweet, with none other than Rodrygo lamenting Camps’ crass tweet.

“Barcelona spokesperson’s tweet about Vini is embarrassing,” Rodrygo told El Chiringuito after the game.
One would expect Rodrygo won’t be the last one to react to Camps’ tweet. In fact, it could only be a matter of time before Vinicius himself issues his response to the Barcelona board of member’s deputy spokesperson.
Not the first time
This is not the first time, however, that someone has taken it up against Vinicius Jr, specifically mentioning his past experiences with racial intolerance.
Many in the past, have tried invalidating his experiences with racism in Spain, which has only led to the player acting more fiercely against the authorities.
As for the Camps’ tweet, it is certainly not a good look for Barcelona and it remains to be seen how the club react, after taking note of everything that ensues.
One thing is for certain, the tweet is set to fire up the dynamic between Barcelona and Real Madrid even more, as the two perennial rivals meet in Catalonia this weekend.

Mourinho considering starting 23-year-old Real Madrid ace against Villarreal – report
After impressing during the international break, Eduardo Camavinga has a major opportunity to establish himself in Real Madrid’s midfield rotation.
Indeed, according to Defensa Central, Jose Mourinho is considering starting the Frenchman against Villarreal, with injuries and doubts over several players limiting his options.
Real Madrid cannot afford to drop points against Villarreal if they want to remain in the title race. However, Mourinho has issues to deal with in the squad, which could lead him to turn to Camavinga for a crucial role.
Camavinga could replace Tchouameni in midfield
The 23-year-old star could line up as the defensive midfielder in the double pivot, with Bernardo Silva or Arda Guler alongside him, and will be tasked with providing balance in midfield.

Real Madrid face Villarreal with several problems in central defence. Ibrahima Konate is expected to be a late call, leading Mourinho to consider moving Aurelien Tchouameni into defence alongside Antonio Rudiger.
Meanwhile, Federico Valverde could also struggle to be ready after the ankle injury he sustained in the derby before the international break.
The Uruguayan has continued to work individually away from the group and might return to group training tomorrow. Even then, his readiness to start remains in question.
That would leave a place open in midfield, with Camavinga in line to fill in.
Camavinga impressed during the international break

Camavinga has started only one match this season, the defeat against Real Betis.
Despite his limited opportunities, Mourinho is keen to bring the Frenchman back into the fold after he impressed for France during the international break.
Zinedine Zidane called the Real Madrid star up for his first France squad, and the midfielder performed well during the break.
That has given Mourinho and Real Madrid reason to be optimistic about using him against Villarreal, with the hope that he can move closer to the level he showed after first arriving at the club.
Therefore, the Villarreal match could represent an important test for Camavinga and a chance for the Frenchman to show that he can provide the balance Real Madrid need in midfield.
