Real Madrid megastar still unavailable for Pachuca clash despite discharge from hospital
According to an update from El Chiringuito TV, Kylian Mbappe will not be involved in Real Madrid’s upcoming FIFA Club World Cup clash against Pachuca, even though he has now been discharged from the hospital.
The French forward had been sidelined with a bout of gastroenteritis that prevented him from training or playing in the team’s opener against Al-Hilal.
While there is relief that the worst of the illness has passed, Real Madrid are taking no risks. The 26-year-old star has rejoined the squad but will not return to action immediately.
The club is following a gradual recovery plan for Mbappe, focused on rebuilding his physical strength and match readiness without rushing his comeback.
No minutes vs Pachuca, but eyes set on Salzburg
It is understood that Mbappe is still far from full fitness, and club doctors estimate that it could take around ten more days for him to return to his usual level.
As a result, he won’t even be on the bench against Pachuca. The more realistic target is the next match against RB Salzburg, where he may be given some minutes depending on his progress.
From a tactical point of view, this is a setback for manager Xabi Alonso. However, considering that Madrid are not facing any European heavyweights in this initial phase, the team can afford to manage without their star player for now.
