Set to resume action this weekend, Real Madrid look forward to reclaiming some of their missing players as the international break draws to an inevitable close.

It is fair to say fortune has not favored the Merengues this season, with an exceedingly long injury list plaguing the team selection.

MARCA have come out to provide a fresh update on the situation of two Real Madrid midfielders, Jude Bellingham and Dani Ceballos, ahead of the club’s upcoming encounter against Cadiz at the Nuevo Mirandilla.

Ceballos a certainty

In a positive boost for Real Madrid, Dani Ceballos was able to complete the training session today without any trouble and is set to be available for the game against Cadiz.

The Spaniard has endured a couple of muscle-related injury scares already this season and was forced to miss the pre-season but is closing in on his return and will be looking to establish some momentum.

While his place against Cadiz is not guaranteed, at the very least, it is expected that he will be included in the squad list for the trip to Nuevo Mirandilla.

Bellingham remains a doubt

Despite prior reports claiming the Englishman is desperate to make his long-awaited return against Cadiz, Bellingham’s shoulder pain has not yet fully faded, making him a doubt for the clash.

With merely three training sessions left to improve his situation, time for Bellingham is running out and he may be forced to sit out Real Madrid’s opening game post-international break.

Real Madrid’s top scorer this season has been uncontainable in front of goal and with the absence of Vinicius Jr, the club hope he will be back at the earliest.

As Real Madrid get closer and closer to their final game of the season against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, they are now sweating over the availability of one of their players.

It has already been confirmed that both David Alaba and Aurelien Tchouameni will miss the finals in London due to injuries.

Other than that, Carlo Ancelotti is likely to have the entirety of his squad available at his disposal, although there could be some concerns surrounding Andriy Lunin.

Lunin not in training for the third day in running

Indeed, Andriy Lunin has not participated in team training today, making it three days in a row heading into the Champions League final, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper is down with a fever that has kept him out of training for three days in a row now.

However, the report does add that despite not being in training for three days now, the Ukrainian international will fly to London and be on the squad list for the finals.

But with reports already suggesting that Thibaut Courtois will be starting in goal against Dortmund, Lunin’s continued absence from training only further strengthens the Belgian’s chances.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was absent from training on Tuesday due to personal reasons, is back working with the rest of the squad today. The Spaniard will have no involvement in Saturday’s final though.

Carlo Ancelotti is likely to go with the exact same starting lineup that he named for the Merengues’ final La Liga match against Real Betis.
