Real Madrid monitoring Kylian Mbappe’s situation, player losing patience with PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have endured a very difficult start to the year. If their early elimination from the UEFA Champions League was not enough, there is growing tension between the players, particularly surrounding the future of their stars.
Lionel Messi has been closely linked with a return to Barcelona, with rumours suggesting that the Argentine international has lost his affection for PSG.
In a recent update from Jorge Picon, it appears even Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid target, is losing with patience in PSG with each passing day. The club have continued to underperform in Europe despite bagging all the top players across the world.
Not to mention, the board failed to heed Mbappe’s suggestions last summer, including the acquisition of a new number nine. Coupled with PSG’s underwhelming performances in Europe, it seems Mbappe’s faith in the club is starting to deplete.
Earlier today, the 24-year-old issued a statement lashing out at the club over using clips from an interview he had given to promote season ticket sales for next term. All this has led to speculations over his future, especially with his contract expiring next year.
As per the report, Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situation. They are not actively looking out for options to sign Mbappe in the coming summer, but they are passively observing the saga on the sideline.
Mbappe was close to signing for Real Madrid last summer before he made a surprising U-turn and renewed his contract at PSG. It seemed that the communications between the two entities had been lost completely after that debacle.
But it seems Real Madrid have continued to monitor the Frenchman’s situation at PSG. The Spanish giants have no intention to make a move in the summer, however. The only way they are going to make an effort in Mbappe is in 2024 when his contract at PSG comes to an end.
This is hardly surprising as Real Madrid are not in a position to finance a deal for Mbappe in the summer, as the former AS Monaco starlet is likely to cost a fortune.

Brazil not giving up on pursuit of Ancelotti: “Haven’t thrown in the towel yet”

Speaking to the media, Brazil Football Confederations (CBF) president Ednaldo Rodrigues has claimed that the Selecao have not given up on their pursuit of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, despite the Italian stating that he will not leave the club.
Brazil have been without a manager since the World Cup in Qatar last year, following which Tite stepped down. The CBF have made Ancelotti their top target and have been pursuing his signing for months but to no avail.
The 63-year-old Italian tactician has, on more than one occasion, made it clear that he will be at Real Madrid next season, with his contract expiring in 2024.
However, CBF president Rodrigues is adamant that Ancelotti’s statements are due to him being cautious as he is under contract at Real Madrid and that the Selecao are not prepared to give up on their quest to appoint him as of yet.
“We made a plan, that ‘Plan A’ is the one you know, Ancelotti, and as they say in the ‘ring’ (boxing), I haven’t thrown in the towel yet,” Rodrigues said (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
“Because of contracts, people are cautious,” he added.
Ancelotti, for his part, has repeatedly stated that he does not intend to leave Real Madrid unless he is forced out of the club.
Despite missing out on the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League titles last season, the club continue to back the veteran Italian and are planning for next season with him in charge.
So, despite Rodrigues’ confidence and perseverance, it is extremely unlikely that Ancelotti will be leaving Real Madrid for Brazil this summer.
