Real Madrid monitoring Turkish wonderkid with €17.5 million release clause – report

Real Madrid have their work cut out this summer transfer window as they dive into the market hoping to reinforce several positions across the pitch.
They have already lost four forwards this window, including Karim Benzema, but also important squad players such as Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz, and Eden Hazard.
Brahim Diaz has been brought back from AC Milan, and Joselu’s signing seems to be on track, but that still leaves Los Blancos with just four natural forwards in their squad. Florentino Perez has confirmed there will be no more signings, but Madrid continue to assess the market for transfer opportunities.
One of the players on their agenda is 18-year-old Turkish wonderkid Arda Guler, according to a report by AS (h/t Madrid Universal).
Guler has been on the radar of several clubs for a few months after his impressive performances with Fenerbahce across the last two seasons. This campaign itself, he scored four goals and assisted three across a mere 20 appearances – 11 as a starter.
Despite his rising market value, Guler has a release clause of €17.5 million, and could be on the move as early as this summer. While an attacking midfielder by trade, he played across the frontline last season, including at right-wing.
Madrid do need reinforcements on the right flank of their attack after Asensio’s exit. While Rodrygo and Federico Valverde have put in multiple shifts in that role, neither of them is a natural winger.
After signing Joselu, Madrid’s priority numero uno will likely be Kylian Mbappe, who has decided not to renew his contract with PSG beyond 2024. Perez and co. want to sign the Frenchman this summer, but it seems the player has no intention of leaving.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
