Real Madrid nearing agreement worth €4 million with Lazio for promising academy midfielder – report
Real Madrid are edging closer to completing another academy sale, with youth team player Bruno Galassi expected to move to Lazio this summer.
According to Defensa Central, the Spanish giants already have a preliminary agreement in place with the Serie A side for the transfer of the highly-rated midfielder, who is set to continue his development in Italy.
The proposed Bruno Galassi Lazio agreement would see the midfielder leave Valdebebas after struggling to establish himself as a regular figure within Real Madrid’s youth structure.

Although registered with the Juvenil A squad, Galassi, who joined Real Madrid’s academy ranks in 2023 after earlier spells with Rayo Vallecano and Getafe, also featured for Real Madrid C during the previous campaign.
As such, recent reports indicate that Lazio are prepared to offer the player a long-term contract until 2029, with an option to extend the agreement until 2030 if certain objectives are met.
The Real Madrid transfer news surrounding Bruno Galassi is also significant because of the structure of the deal.
Real Madrid retain future control
This is because Los Blancos are expected to receive up to €4 million through the transfer, while also protecting their long-term interests.
The club plans to retain 50% of any future sale involving the player and will also include a buy-back clause, allowing them to bring him back should he fulfil his potential in Italy.
Such agreements have become increasingly common in Real Madrid’s strategy when dealing with promising academy prospects.
The approach allows the club to generate immediate and future income while maintaining control over players who could develop into elite talents elsewhere.
Notably, this summer alone, the club has already surpassed €100 million through player departures and previously negotiated clauses.
Among the biggest deals were the Nico Paz transfer, which generated around €60 million, alongside €20 million from Victor Munoz Liverpool negotiations and another €15 million received following Alvaro Rodriguez’s move from Elche to Bournemouth.
In what will come as a pleasing development for fans, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo could make a comeback from his injury earlier than expected.
The 25-year-old Brazilian international has been out of action since March after suffering an ACL injury during a La Liga game against Getafe.
Due to the complete rupture of the ACL, coupled with associated meniscus damage, it was suggested that the attacker was staring at a lengthy time out on the sidelines and might not return until 2027.
In fact, the forward’s father, Eric Goes, recently stated in an interview that the Real Madrid ace could be back in February next year, just before the business end of the campaign.
Rodrygo could be back in December
However, as per the update from Romano, Rodrygo’s comeback could happen well before that expected date.
Indeed, if things continue to progress at the current rate, the 25-year-old attacker might return to action in December or by January 2027 at the latest.
This will come as a welcome boost for Jose Mourinho & co., considering that Rodrygo is a valuable player for the team.
Even though he had endured a tough spell prior to his form, the Brazilian’s versatility, work rate off the ball, and eye for a goal make him an asset.

The update from Romano further states that Rodrygo feels very grateful to Real Madrid for all the help and support they have given him during this difficult phase of his career.
As such, the Brazilian international has made it a mission to return to action in the best shape possible and make an impact from the get-go.
The attacker has only recently begun working on the pitch with the ball indicating the significant progress he has made on the road to recovery.
And, if there are no setbacks, Real Madrid could recover one of their ace attackers before the end of the current year.
So far in his career, Rodrygo has made 297 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 71 goals. He has a contract with the club until 2028.
