Real Madrid not considering €85 million-rated star’s sale, Ancelotti confident he will be key

Aurelien Tchouameni has found himself linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer after he endured a difficult second half in the 2022/23 campaign.
Having joined the club last year in a deal worth €80 million plus €20 million in add-ons, Tchouameni made a great start, but his form dipped after the World Cup in Qatar.
It led to him losing his place in the starting XI and with Real Madrid reinforcing their midfield further this summer, Tchouameni has been the subject of transfer interest from clubs such as Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
However, as has been reported by Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Real Madrid are not at all entertaining the prospect of selling Tchouameni, whose current market value stands at €85 million.
Ancelotti confident Tchouameni will be key
Manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly sure that Tchouameni will be a key player for Real Madrid in the upcoming season.
The report suggests that Ancelotti and his staff privately highlighted how the 23-year-old has come back this summer and the amazing potential that he possesses.

The manager believes that Tchouameni’s dip in form in the second half of the last season had a lot to deal with the physical and psychological toll that the World Cup took on the player.
After all, the midfielder featured in each and every game France played in Qatar and saw his team lose in a heartbreaking manner in the finals.
Something similar was suggested by Tchouameni’s personal fitness trainer, Fabrice Gautier, in a recent interview.
Furthermore, with Ancelotti tinkering with his formations at Real Madrid this season, he believes that the new system he plans to deploy could elicit the best qualities of Tchouameni.
The midfielder already put in a strong showing in the friendly against Manchester United and is expected to take a step forward this season despite the competition for places.

Real Madrid defender taken off with an injury against Las Palmas

There just does not appear to be any respite from injuries for Real Madrid.
Just when it appeared that they were close to having their full squad – barring the two long-term absentees – the Merengues have been struck down by fresh injuries this week.
Arda Guler, who was on the cusp of being named in the squad for the Las Palmas clash, injured himself in training on Tuesday.
And now, during the game against Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid have lost key defender David Alaba to an injury.
Close to the 40th-minute mark, Alaba went down on the ground clutching his leg and appeared to be in quite a bit of discomfort.
Soon enough, the medical staff arrived to take a look at the Austrian and seconds later he was off the pitch and straight towards the tunnel.
Lucas Vazquez came on to replace the injured Alaba, with Nacho Fernandez moving into the centre-back position alongside Antonio Rudiger.
Alaba’s injury leaves Carlo Ancelotti with just two fit centre-backs in Rudiger and Nacho, which is set to be a matter of great concern.
The hope will be that Alaba’s condition is nothing serious and that he is able to mount a quick recovery.
