Real Madrid offered €100m Man United target, club weighing pros and cons of deal

With Real Madrid on the lookout for a new striker to bolster their attacking ranks, Cadena SER is reporting that they have been offered the services of Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane ahead of the summer window.
Kane is set to enter the final year of his contract with Tottenham this summer and is said to be looking for a way out after another dismal campaign from the club, where they missed out on Champions League football.
And, Real Madrid are among his suitors, while other top teams like Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also linked.
Despite Tottenham’s struggles, the 29-year-old striker has enjoyed another fine season on a personal level, bagging 30 goals and five assists from 48 games across all competitions.
Kane’s name has been on the radars of Real Madrid for a while now and as per the report, they have been approached by an intermediary asking if they will be interested in signing the England captain.
Real Madrid weighing pros and cons of Kane deal

Real Madrid are yet to respond to the approach as they are understood to be weighing up the pros and cons of the possible deal for Kane this summer.
As far as the pros are concerned, Los Blancos see that England’s record scorer would add a lot of quality and goals to the frontline, where the team have been overreliant on the services of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr.
Apart from that, the signing of Kane would also help with the adaptation of his compatriot Jude Bellingham, who is expected to arrive from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
But, Kane’s price tag, which could be around €80-100 million is seen as one of the cons by Real Madrid along with the struggles of English players at the club in the past.
Furthermore, there are some aspersions about whether he and Benzema can share space within the team next season. Beyond that, Real Madrid wish to sign Erling Haaland in 2024 and Kane’s arrival in the summer might impact a move for the Manchester City superstar.
The Tottenham Hotspur superstar is also on the radars of other European heavyweights like Manchester United, Bayern Munich, as well as Paris Saint-Germain.
Kane has previously said that he would prefer to continue in England so that he can break Alan Shearer’s record for the most goals scored in the Premier League.
However, the report states that Tottenham would prefer to see him move out of England rather than see him play for one of their rivals.
A busy summer awaits Real Madrid and it remains to be seen if they do decide to go after Kane or sign a stop-gap striker this summer before moving for Haaland next year.

Real Madrid eye €3.5 million-rated relegated Premier League striker to reinforce attack

Following a difficult season with troubles in La Liga and the Champions League preventing Real Madrid from retaining their crowns, Los Blancos move towards a transformative summer, full of innovations.
Real Madrid managed to clear plenty of unwanted figures at the club, with a huge relief on the wage bill. However, with an array of exits, the squad has contracted and thus replacements are being inquired.
Apart from the high-profile departure of Karim Benzema, fringe players have also bid their farewell.
Among those names is Mariano Diaz, who was Madrid’s backup striker prior to his withdrawal. Several names have been put on the table to fill his absence as the club largely aim to address their lack of depth.
According to Arancha Rodriguez (via RM4Arab), Leeds United striker Rodrigo Moreno is one of the names gaining consensus in the Madrid hierarchy. Moreover, Joselu has also been considered as a viable alternative.
The two favourites to replace Mariano have proven to be important figures for their clubs as both strikers maintain a starting role.
Playing for Espanyol, Joselu ended the La Liga campaign as the third top scorer, only behind Benzema and Lewandowski. Considering Espanyol’s relegation, such a feat looks even more impressive. The Spaniard secured 19 goals in all competitions.
On the other hand, Rodrigo Moreno recorded 16 goals last season across all competitions. Similar to Joselu’s case, the Spanish international also suffered relegation with Leeds, in spite of his good numbers.
With both players offering adequate output in struggling sides, Real Madrid’s interest is practical. Moreover, considering both Espanyol and Leeds were relegated, their asking price will undeniably lower, which enables the Merengues to sign one of the two targets at a more convenient rate.
It is claimed that Rodrigo has a release clause worth €3.5 million which Los Blancos would have to trigger to sign him from Leeds United.
It now remains to be seen whether Carlo Ancelotti & co. go after the former Valencia man or move for Joselu instead.
