Real Madrid started the new season with a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Athletic Club, with new signing Jude Bellingham notably scoring his first goal for the club.

However, as much as the team looks promising heading into the new season, there are still certain problem areas that need to be addressed.

One of them is the lack of a frontline striker. The departure of Karim Benzema has left the club devoid of a proper number nine, even though they signed Joselu.

Real Madrid offered chance to sign Randal Kolo Muani

According to Tomas Gonzalez-Martin, Real Madrid have been given the opportunity to sign Randal Kolo Muani.

The Eintracht Frankfurt star has been offered to the Spanish giants, as the player looks to take the next step in his career.

With 40 goal involvements during his first season at Frankfurt, Kolo Muani has emerged as one of the rising stars in the Bundesliga.

A striker by trade, who can also operate in wider positions, Kolo Muani has also impressed with his performances for the French national team. He has already won nine caps for his country.

A bridge for Kylian Mbappe?

Real Madrid are no strangers to Randal Kolo Muani and in fact, have been linked with a move for the Frenchman throughout the summer.

But what could the potential signing of Kolo Muani indicate, as far as the club’s transfer plans are concerned?

For starters, it would mean the club might not make a move for Kylian Mbappe this summer. The forward is reportedly in talks with PSG over a renewal. He has also been reinstated to the team after being left out in the first game.

Kolo Muani, whose market value stands at €80 million, could act as a bridge for Mbappe, with Real Madrid likely to make a move in the summer of 2024.

Until then, the Frenchman could become the ideal strike partner for Vinicius Junior this season.

However, with Frankfurt likely to hold out for a fortune, signing the former Nantes star will be far from a straightforward task for Los Blancos.

If a chance forwads itself like in case of Kolo Muani,Real Madrid has to grab the chance.Actually coming to Mbappe there is something presenting itself as a blessing in disguise for not coming to Madrid where he is going to cause havoc.
Muani is a good player,i saw him during world cup games.

Ferland Mendy finds himself in a difficult situation at Real Madrid. The Frenchman has struggled with injury and fitness woes for a large part of the past year, leading to doubts over his future at the club.

In fact, it had been reported that Los Blancos were considering selling Mendy during the summer transfer window earlier this year itself.

But, such a move did not materialise and the 28-year-old has stayed put at the Santiago Bernabeu although reports suggest that he is likely to be on the move next year.

Mendy would retire at Real Madrid if he could

Despite there having been numerous reports about his future in the summer, The Athletic reports that Mendy did not consider the possibility of an exit at any point.

In fact, the report adds that if given a chance, the 28-year-old defender would retire at Real Madrid.

Mendy’s contract with Los Merengues expires in 2025 and he is understood to be seeking a renewal for a while now, but there has been no move made by the club.

The injuries that the 28-year-old has picked up are understood to be a major deterrent for Real Madrid, which is why they are already looking to reinforce the left-back position with Alphonso Davies next year.

Despite the non-stop speculations surrounding him, Mendy continues to enjoy the full trust of manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Indeed, as per the report, the Italian tactician has informed the Frenchman that he is the left-back that best fits the defensive requirements needed in the team.

Ancelotti’s decision to bench Fran Garcia in the UEFA Champions League game even though Mendy was unavailable and start David Alaba at left-back was taken as an indicator within the dressing room that the Frenchman remains the first-choice in the position.

So, it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds over the coming months, especially with Ancelotti’s future also uncertain as his contract expires in 2024.
