Real Madrid planning €5 million summer move to purchase academy graduate

Marcelo Vieira will go down in history as one of Real Madrid’s most successful left-backs and players of all time. The Brazilian has marked an era at the Santiago Bernabeu, but his time in Madrid seems to be coming to an end.
The full-back’s contract at the club runs out this summer, and there is no intention to secure a renewal from both parties. Needless to say, his departure would leave a void in Los Blancos‘ setup.
Ferland Mendy has been a phenomenal reinforcement at left-back, however, his constant injuries are a worry to the management. Considering the delicate situation, Madrid are said to be alert in the transfer market to find a strong backup.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Fran Garcia has emerged as a real possibility. The 22-year-old was a part of Real Madrid’s academy until the summer of 2020, when he made the move to Rayo Vallecano.
Under Andoni Iraola, the Spaniard has emerged as one of La Liga’s finest left-backs both defensively and in the attack. He averages 1.5 interceptions, two tackles and 1.5 clearances per ninety minutes and has also scored one goal this season.
Garcia’s contract at Rayo has a release clause of €10 million, but Real Madrid have a special clause to sign him for half the price. The low investment is one of the main reasons why his signing is seen as attractive by Real Madrid’s management.
The player will arrive as a subsidiary player, primarily used as an option on the bench. Needless to say, Garcia appears to be the closest to reinforcing the left-back spot for next season.

Real Madrid offered the chance to sign Brazilian striker, one of 4-5 names on radar

There is no secret that Real Madrid might consider a move for a new striker in the coming summer. With Karim Benzema slowly nearing the end of his career, the club are looking for a viable alternative ahead of the new season.
Carlo Ancelotti has been left impressed by the performances of Rodrygo in the centre forward position. But the club could still use the services of a more recognised option in the number nine position.
The Spanish giants are reportedly assessing La Liga for a potential low-cost option. But they are also open to looking through in other leagues, in their bid to add more depth in the attacking department.
To that end, Fabrizio Romano claims Real Madrid are eyeing a swoop for Roberto Firmino. The Liverpool star has become the latest player to be shortlisted by Los Blancos, with his current contract at Liverpool expiring at the end of the season.
Formerly of TSG Hoffenheim, Firmino has a stellar track record of performing in Europe. He has scored 110 goals in 361 competitive matches during his time at Liverpool, winning the Premier League and the Champions League title.
A centre forward by trade, Roberto is known for his tactical flexibility and the ability to shift into wider areas to build up the player.
It makes him an appealing target for Real Madrid, who would prefer a versatile striker in their ranks that can not only provide cover for Benzema but also the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
Real Madrid, though, are yet to hold any discussions with Roberto Firmino just yet. He has just been added to the list of targets and one would expect the Spanish giants to make a move once the season is over and the player becomes a free agent.
