Real Madrid prepared to spend up to €130 million on French superstar – report

As the new season draws nearer, the Kylian Mbappe saga continues to drag on, with no concrete decisions on where he will play for the 2023/24 campaign.
The Frenchman’s future still hangs in the balance, as neither his entourage nor Real Madrid have made any substantial approaches for the player.
New reports from Marca corroborate previous news which stated that Real Madrid now hold all the power in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, but are waiting for Mbappe to make the first move.
All down to Mbappe
The Spanish outlet claims that one call from Mbappe to Madrid could massively tilt the scales and speed up proceedings.
The World Cup-winner clearly seems to have the Santiago Bernabeu in his sights, but the Galacticos will reportedly not go berserk in their attempts to sign him.

They will not jeopardize their financial stability over one player, given the struggles fellow La Liga clubs have been facing ever since the COVID-19 pandemic massively offset the books.
PSG currently have a very high price tag on Mbappe, but given that he player only has one year left on his contract, the Ligue 1 club do not have much in the way of bargaining power.
The Frenchman could easily leave on a free transfer after his contract is up in the summer of 2024, so PSG are seeking to get as much money for him as possible before that happens.
Real Madrid are reportedly willing to splurge up to 130 million euros for him, which is a very good deal for PSG at this stage.
Los Blancos have not made any substantial approach for the player at the moment, leaving him to sort out what he wants, but there is still very little clarity on what he wants, as Mbappe continues to string PSG along in this seemingly endless saga.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
